While it may appear so on the surface to some, HES aren't that stupid.

Those details will have no bearing on whether or not the game gets released on Xbox.

Not a bad clip. It'd make a good TV commercial. The graphics look very slick (apart from the numbers on their backs) and so do all the animations. But realistically theres only around 20 seconds of game footage (once you take away all the black and white stuff at the begining) and it's probably all been polished a fair bit.
Still though, better than nothing.

Sidhe is making a bad move if they've signed an exclusive rights package with Sony. I thought Australasia was Xbox's stronghold in the world, isn't there the highest percentage of Xbox to Ps2 users right here in NZ? Anyway, developing a game on Xbox, then porting to Ps2 would be easier, right? As it would only require a graphical downgrade.. http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif

To correct a couple of points (or three)

1. HES is the owner and publisher of the title, so if an exclsuive deal with Sony exists its everything to do with HES and nothing to do with Sidhe.

2. While the per capita sell through of Xbox in Australasia is higher than that of anywhere else in the world, the install base of PS2 consoles in the region is still massively larger and PS2 games outsell Xbox games by an order of magnitude.

3. 'Porting' any game to PS2 is hard. If there was an Xbox version, it wouldn't make it any easier than the current situation where there is additionally a PC version.

it wasn't a statement of preference from Mario of one console over another, it was a statement correcting an earlier posts lack of facts.

Indeed. I own both a PS2 and an Xbox (and a Gamecube) myself.

Each console has its merits.

As I said, each has its merits. I prefer the PS2 controller best, Xbox graphics are the best, and GameCube has some innovative titles.

Overall, I probably play the PS2 most because the games I have for it are pretty easy to pick up and put down, and I don't have much time these days.

Because we are a very small market. Australasia just an insignificant dot compared to US/Europe/Asia in the gaming market. That's why we are last. It sucks, but that's how it has always been, and that's how it will always be... Unless, Sidhe go all hardware on our arse and make a console!? Wow I'm a brilliant thinker.

...And Woosah, I used to have a PS2 as well, but then I sold it pretty much the day before I found out about that new golf game. Shame. Then, a couple of days ago I recieved an email from Sony, telling me that my power adapter could be a safety hazard. Lol.

same here, I'll get it on PS2 cause you can play it with mates more readily, but PC has way better graphics and you'll be able to modify it to keep all the team line ups, jersey's etc up to date.

Out of the 2 consoles XBox seems to be better established online. Playing it online with a PC seems a bit...............untraditional for a sports title. What we should be asking Mario more than whether it will be on XBox is whether it will be online?

Because then.....this forum will start to liven up with international challenges to back up our posts.

We need XBox live cafes. Surely an XBox is cheaper to buy than a PC? Though I think all you need to play on a PC is the Jet Stream account while on XBox live I think you need Jet Stream and an XBox account. What a bummer!

if had a console i would challenge all of my mates but I only have a pc so have to play that way. pc is good though will be able to mod it and lots of my friends should be getting it on pc as well. I also haven't played on a console for ages so would get whipped first few games due to controler unfamilarity. With regards to x-box it seems to be an going thing and possibly may come out little bit later than ps2 or pc this is just speculaton and rumour though.

So right. Aucklanders want the rest of the countries tax dollars to fix up their roading problem, and half the electricity to run the place is generated in the south. Very off-topic, but so was the start of this conversation.

auckland is the biggest city in nz so naturally has more people that use more power etc. over 1.3 million people chose to live in Auckland so it can't be that bad. South Island do provide some benefit to auckland like carter and mcCaw and they do provide electricty for us which is pretty nice of them but beyond that theres nothing decent down south execpt for crap weather and lots of nothing. maybe we should have an inter-island comp when rugby league 2 comes out to see who is the best

I know. I was 17 and stayed in Auckland and watched the game on TV.

I prayed "Oh God, please let us win the first one. I don't care about the others, just let us win the inaugural world cup. It doesn't matter if we win the second or third or so on. Please God, just let us win the first."

Straight after the game we all went off walking to the liquor store with great rejoicing (as was everybody else) and proceeded to get ourselves intoxicated that night.

It did not cross my mind that a certain Ripper was in no way breathing the air in NZ that I was breathing at that moment. The air of RWC success. Nor did it cross my mind that he did not hear with his own ears the precise moment on TV when the referee blew the whistle for full time. Nor did I realise that Ripper had not looked into the eyes of other NZ'ers at the moment of the ref blowing the final whistle and see in their eyes a mirror image of your own. A look that for some seemingly patriotic people like Captain America will not happen to them in their lifetime.

For a moment unemployment, national debt, tomorrows schools, rogernomics, and all manner of issues were forgotten. NZ felt like it had lifted off the earth and was hovering, flying, ascending to the clouds. The air was lighter, the grass greener, girls smiled at you, etc.

Sorry Ripper, but I wasn't thinking about you as we celebrated RWC success pashing totally strange girls in our drunken state. However I still salute you as a fellow kiwi.

A few days after each RWC AB exit I ask myself "Was it worth it winning the first and losing the rest?"

Funny thing is we were so intent and intense about winning the first one that we didn't mind selling our souls. I really did pray that prayer before the game even though I didn't go to church at the time.

Our team at the world cup was like the '95 one but hungrier. Man they were good. Everyone, the media, past AB's, even my dad were saying that there wasn't another team of any era like them! In fact, I think they went through tests and tours in 87, 88, 89 unbeaten and only lost the last game of 90 to...............Australia (Phil Kearns gave Sean and Graham the fingers game) which proved to be significant as that was the beginning in 91 of the end.

auckland is the biggest city in nz so naturally has more people that use more power etc. over 1.3 million people chose to live in Auckland so it can't be that bad.
Auckland provided New Zealand with a RWC victory.
And what was it like celebrating that victory, Ripper?

Did it feel like you were in close quarters with 50 million friends, all swimming around and shaking your tails?
I wouldnt know, it happened 2 years before I was conceived.

Sounds like your just remembering the Greens campaign launch, when they invited some Native American Indian to smoke the "Peace" Pipe.

Not really, The economy is about to go bust, the Maori Party are going to run riot and the Greens are on a oneway mission to turn this country third world. Winston Peters will be ****** off he doesnt get his two cabinet seats, and if this Government manages to last 3 years the country will be so screwed I could make Kinkon the National Leader and he would win in a landslide.

National did lose tho. Classic kaftka.

So, is it just me or is a certain annoying pain in the ass no longer posting, (or banned) on this site? Let me know someone, if you know who I mean.
Tell me so I know how much to drink in celebration tonight!

He could be off singlehandedly halving the sales of a game developer.

Someone must have Loved telling him to get Los....t.

Doovepop, just a quick question.

Instead of telling everyone to enter details for this trailer, why don't you just get the link that was sent to your e-mail and post that up?
