from tvnz

The ARFU and NZRU have granted Auckland lock Bryce Williams an early release from his contract so he can take up an offer to play for the Leinster club in Ireland.

Williams, who departs for Ireland next week, has signed a one-season deal and plans to return to New Zealand in July 2006.

I doubt he'll return that soon. No one ever does.
Two examples:
Bruce Reihana was meant to be coming back before the Lions series.
Glen Jackson was meant to be back for this NPC.

yeah I'm not sure he will be back next year either. he will proabbly be gone a few years at least. them seems to come back from japan though like Macdonald came back after a year and flavell is coming back after 2.

Is this guy any good? Leinster have 4/5 potential locks now.

in recent time he has struggled to make the blues and auckland starting xv but is still a good lock. proabbly not a running type of lock and more of a lineout and hard grafting type.

was pretty impressed with his debut, he's definitely a good lineout ball threat.
