lol

To be honest with you, Sidhe created a team for me (Including family and friends) and Vossy says all their names, a few nicknames and first names too. So I'm really made up with that.

Don't forget, I worked on RL2 quite a bit with the UK side of things http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Something I've always fancied doing that... alas, I'm not clever enough, nor patient enough to program for a living. http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif

Hey.....you missed a few for your Raiders dream team

Legends of Canberra with their last names in the game

Beblcher (Hey its close enough. No one will know the difference)
Ferguson
Mullen (well its close enough)
Stuart
Jackson (hey you can have both Peter and Steve)
Clyde
Furner
Croker
Lazerus (again its close enough)
Walters

Other very good Raiders players

Wood (got to have him if you are short on speedsters. He did score 3 grand final tries)
Pongia (was a raider for a long time and owns a champions medal)
Martin (Grand final appearance)
Hetherington (but of course, works hard to the end)
West (OK, so I am really stretching it trying to make it sound like David Westly. But you need more props since Lomax is not mentioned).
Wiki (he can be the reserve prop after Laz and Pongia if you get deperate. Or you could put him in his original position next to Mel)
Bell (in 2 grand finals so fair enough)
Backo (another one who enjoyed grand final week)

Don't think you're the only Raiders fanatic here http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif .

Well GG you sure stood me up there

I was going to get my full team when i had time

but the good man GG has delivered with even greater news

BACKO
MARTIN
WOOD - I HAVE HIS 1994 SEMI FINAL JERSEY!!!!!!

whats with the typo in Belcher - surely thats a typo from Sidhe
FURNER, CLYDE AND STUART - well how good is that

now the big question - do u unlock them or are they for create-a-play reasons

Either or the 90's raiders will be a force!!!!

JACKSON - It would be blasfemay not to have both Steve and Peter

Sidhe has delivered here

and beware all you KIWIS

WIKI is coming back to greener pastures in RL2...just give me 26 rounds to axe GAFA, MOGG, and WOOLFORD....should be enuff cap room for the MUSS, to call CANBERRA HOME AGAIN http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

Pfft. Doubt it. They're far too lazy to record a name like that.

I mean, in Rugby 2005, a guy called Forest had the surname of Foster announced for him. Laziness. Lay. Zee. Ness.

I'll be creating a classic NSW and Queensland team (no current players), and theres plenty to pick from in the surnames list........

For instance NSW: Roach, Roberts, Geyer (Mark), Sterling, Mortimer, Johns (Chris), ET, Stuart, Daley, Pearce, Lyons (Cliffy), Clyde, Fittler, Grothe (Eric), Alexander, Anderson, Benny (no Elias though..),Boyd, Rogers (Steve), Lamb, Davidson, Girdler, O'Conner, Mullins (written as 'Mullen' by Sidhe??), Ferguson, Harrigan, Kenny, Price (Ray), Gillespie, Lazarus, McGaw, McGregor, Raudonikis, Simmons, Fenech, Cleal, Mundine, Hill (Terry - had to add him), Fairleigh, Ryan (Andrew), Nagas, Carrol.........

.....and Queensland: Meninga, Belcher?? (maybe a typo by Sidhe??), Allen, Backo, Beetson, Lewis, Langer, Coyne, Miles, Bella, Carne, Campion, Close, Dowling, Vautin, Larson, Moore (Billy), Lindner (written as 'Linder' by Sidhe??), Tallis, Gee, Gilmeister, Ikin, Walters (few of them about), Sailor, Rogers (Matt), Jackson (Steve), Jackson (Peter), Shearer, Webcke (retired from Origin), Renouf, Murray, O'Davis, Tronc, Webb, Scott (Colin), Conescu, Curri (written "Curry"), Fullerton-Smith, Hetherington.......

Unfortunately though no Jack, Brasher, Toovey, Wishart, Sironen, Hancock, Hasler, Lote.........

(I'll let you guys sort out an "ultimate" 2 teams from those names............)

good work NZL Fan

They are very similar teams to what I would pick

Most people would have Fittler instead of Daley.....but most people that play this game will be too young to realise the impact LD had on the blues during the 90's

Going by the Sidhe forum........ avg age would be under 16, thus would all be Fittler lovers!!!

CHRIS JOHNS - what a blast from the past!!!!

I'd still prolly have Nagas or Chicka, or even big Hoppa on the wing instead...but Chrissy Johns was qulaity - albeit a bronco.

Speakin of sky blue broncos - I hope Vossy calls Mick Devere "STAPLES".........or atleast acknowledges the "staple" incident - what sheer GUTS for GLORY!!!

Had a quick look through the RL2 surnames list and it has..........(no current players)

Ridge, Freeman, Friend, West (Graham), Barnett, Graham (Mark), Leuluai (James), McGann (instead of McGahan), Mercer, O'Hara (Dane), Pongia, Stewart (Sam), Williams (Daryll), Williams (Dennis), Brown (Peter), Bailey (Roger), White (Des), Sterling (Ken), Paul (Henry), McCracken, Messenger (aussie that toured with the Kiwis), Kearney (retired??), Halligan, Nikau, Johnson (Cliff), Bell (Dean).

Thats enough to start off a team, pity no "Sorensen" (Dane and Kurt), "Tamati (Howie and Kevin)!!!! or "Iro" (Kevin and Tony) - Sidhe could have added 3 names and we could have got 6 great Kiwi players.......

Whoops, missed "Ropati" - you can chuck 3 of them in there as well as George Menzies (great standoff for the kiwis in the 50's).........

So a possible "classic" Kiwi lineup using all the commentary names would be......

White (Des)(kick)
Leuluai (James)
Williams (Dennis)
Bell
O'Hara
Menzies (George)
Freeman
Nikau
Graham
McGahan
Pongia
Friend
Johnson (Cliff)

Stirling (Ken)
Williams (Daryl)
West
Kearney

Sweet - my surname is included in there. Also a good friend who has an uncommon name is also in there so I will be able to create him and then use my player to smash him.

It's funny that a certain surname starting with W has found its way into the game isn't it, Mario.

But then I guess if you make the game then you are going to put yourself into the game. I mean look at the Swordfish boys.
