Stade Franšais and France fly-half Lionel Beauxis will join European Champions Toulouse at the end of the season after a signing a three-year deal.

Beauxis, who has 15 Test caps for France, will leave Paris to fill the gap left at Toulouse by the departure of David Skrela to Clermont. Skrela had also joined left Stade Franšais in favour of the seventeen-time French champions.

25-year-old Beauxis inked the new deal with Toulouse on Thursday despite Stade Franšais' best efforts to keep him in the capital.

Originally from Pau, near the Pyrenees, the possibility of being closer to his family helped persuade Beauxis to make the switch.

The fly-half is Toulouse's second recruit this month after they signed Fijian wing Timoci Matanavou from Mont-de-Marsan.

Good signing for Toulouse. Beauxis has plenty of room to grow as a player. Will Michalak stick around or will they give Doussain opportunities to compete with Beauxis?

So this may strengthen the possibility that Michalak could sign for the Melbourne Rebels?
