if there is any game to get ya act together than its this one against the rookies..come on chiefs

both coming off losses and chiefs are on there way home so they should atleast take one victory from 3 aways to build confidence for there home games...coz if not then this could be the same old waikato club rugby story

"alot of potential....but no show"

force on the other hand get there second home game and did average against the star studded wellington team

hmmm...im picking the chiefs as a fan but this could go either way

I back the Force aswell the Chiefs are plying like idiots, and even though they cracked the Canes defence once they look more than capable of taking the Chiefs apart.

Just quoting this for some reason.

Before the Super 14 I would've have put this one down as a win for the Chiefs. But after what I've heard about their previous two games I don't know. Luckily I'll actually be able to watch this one, and I think this fact will boost the Chiefs enough to win. ;)

I know, I saw his post. But I wouldn't be that worried if the Blues lost to the Reds.

Whereas if the Chiefs win I want to be able to say, "I'm sorry what were you saying?"

The only problem for the Force will be can their new 2nd 5 spark the backline. It would help if they didn't knock the ball on every 2nd tackle.

The Force will win easily. I am 100% sure the Chiefs will finish last this season. Won't be going to Subiaco though..

Ill be watching the game with the best view. At home, with a quality Southern African beer in one hand, and biltong in the other.

Digby Ioane Given Until Game Day to Prove Fitness for Chiefs Clash

Dashing winger Digby Ioane is in doubt for Friday night's game

Wednesday, February 22, 2006
RugbyWA

Exciting Emirates Western Force winger Digby Ioane will be given until game day to prove his fitness for the clash against the Chiefs at Subiaco Oval on Friday night.

The powerful runner injured his ankle early in the first half of last week's match against the Hurricanes but played out the game.

With uncertainty as to his availability, Australian Under 19 and Under 21 representative, Tajhon Mailata, has been called into the squad.

Also returning to the 22 is centre Josh Graham, who passed a concussion test yesterday after being knocked-out in the team's Tooheys New Super 14 debut against the Brumbies.

Graham will also see a specialist before being given the all-clear.

Former Queensland flanker Richard Brown comes into the starting 15 ahead of Matt Hodgson as part of a rotation policy, and Scott Daruda returns to the run-on side at inside centre, replacing the injured Junior Pelesasa.

The Emirates Western Force has been plagued by injury, with four backs and a forward unavailable for selection after just two rounds.

Lock Rudi Vedelago is recovering from wrist surgery and is expected to be out of action for another six weeks, while Zander Peden and Ben Ward are battling back injuries.

Lachlan MacKay (knee ligaments) and Pelesasa (broken ankle) were sidelined whilst wearing the Number 12

Emirates Western Force head coach John Mitchell said it was unusual for injuries to hit one position, and he welcomed the return of Graham.

"He's actually come in ahead of schedule having passed the appropriate medical test but it's been a challenge for us, not being able to put out the same back-line on consecutive weekends," he said.

Mitchell said this week's opposition was the best Chiefs team he'd seen on paper in a decade, describing Mils Muliaina as the best fullback in world rugby, ably supported by Sosene Anesi and Sitiveni Sivivatu.

"Their back-row is also formidable, all of them All Blacks," he said.

"And their halfback Byron Kelleher is a strong individual. There wouldn't be too many halfbacks as strong as Byron, so we're in for a pretty physical contest."

"I'm seeking an improvement on our two previous outings."

Don't think so, Chiefs have got back Jono (who has been sorely missed for his onfield leadership skills), I'm not offering my sig or anything but the Chiefs are going to pump the Force... i hope... ok i wish... ok I really really hope that they can get their **** together... how can you have 7/8 former and current All Blacks and lose to the Force... i can't happen, it won't happen... it might happen... oh ****.

It's time for the Chiefs to get the act together...

what are you talking about again?....your user account?...

hahahahahahha...i always knew that the chiefs were gonna win, they got more class players but they havent played enough together with all there new signings..so they werent really a full strength team so to speak..i expect alot out of them now witht he talent they have if they use it properly...they just cant expect things to happen with there allblacks and there new players they gotta work it out...

force on the other hand have a heap load of injured players and there depth is really being tested..i see this as a good sign for things to come..they are(without there full strength squad) performing better as a team than most of the other franchises...they just lack an amount of class players in that backline to get them going

Pretty ****ful game from both sides, the Chiefs have a problem at 1st5 and the Force have a problem with 9, 10 , 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 (biggest problem is at 10 though). The guys just looks to young and out of his depth.

As a Cheifs supporter it's good to see a win but can't see there being to many more if they keep playing like this. There was a few moments where the Chiefs backline showed what they can do, they need a lot more ball though - seasons still early...

There's a rumour that the Force have offered Joe Roff a contract because of all there injuries in the backs.

Its just a rumour but damn i hope its for real

Dumbo
28-02-06, 12:25 AM
Joe would be good for them, think that they have what it takes up front but the backline just doesn’t have the maturity to get them through.
Joe played on the wing and fullback; think the Force needs a good 10 and 12.

The TRUTH
28-02-06, 06:14 AM
Well our best 10 and 12 Lachlan Mackay and Junior Pelesasa are out for the season.

We have around six injuries to key players so mitchell is going to sign at least one new player (probably an outside centre) this week

Wally
28-02-06, 11:53 AM
You really needed to have your backline stay together. The loss of MacKay and Pelesasa is pretty much it for you this year. The combination of Henjak, James and Daruda has potential, but there is no experience there.

 What a crap game of rugby that was... I switched the game off at half-time. I will now change my previous statement and say that one of two teams will finish last. The Farce and The Cheeps
