So he has finally decided to hang up his boots at the end of the year. Please feel free to offer your comments on one of Englands and the worlds best ever players. Lawrence Dallaglio.

Damn.
Always liked watching him play and he's led Wasps to some great heights in recent years.

A superb player in his prime, quite possibly the best in his position in the professional era yet. But he seriously overstayed his welcome post World Cup and in the end became a serious logjam to the tsunami of talent now engulfing the English game.

As a player he was once one of the best in the world. Past few years he has not had the power, pace or skill to be at the very top, but his temperament and leadership has kept him about. I'm not his biggest fan by any means, but got to give the guy respect for what he has achieved as a player and a leader.

Who out of the "tsunami of talent" has Dallaglio held back? Rees and Haskell have only gained from Dallaglio staying around.

Yeah, they both shone during the World Cup because of him...

So it was Dallaglios fault they didnt light up the world cup. Sometimes you just have to be man enough to say "I just wasnt good enough" Bit like your bitter comments towards a LEGEND of English rugby.

No, ********. The only reason Haskell didn't go and Easter took a few games into the tournament was because the Horrible Italian c*** bleated to the media about wanting to go.

The RFU, speciffically the spineless git Rob Andrew, showed the complete ineptitude which also led to Andy Robinsons reign, caved in to the lunatics running the asylum and left the best 8 in the country at home while taking along a 20,000,000 year old past-it big head who'd already written off Englands chances of getting past the group stage. See: He needed to re-write the final chapter of his book, written before the tournament started, because England wen't rather far through the tournament despite his awful performances.

He's an over-rated, egotistical, cheating, violent, mouthy f*******e who sucks up to the press simply to make himself a few more quid, milking a career that should have ended 4 years ago.

Dallaigio was a good player in back in 2003, but should not have been part of the WC set-up in 2007 and was a major distraction. Was a poor fit as captain in my opinion, due to his lack of tactical awareness and his inability to let others take center stage and for him just to be a supporting person. Think Tony Diprose would have had a better career if Dallaigio hadn't shown up and made his way into the scene.
