TRF Rugby Gaming Round-up

TRF presents Chargy Bargy in association with o2

TRF are delighted to present a fun new game brought to you by o2, the sponsors of the England and Ireland international teams. In this fun game, you are given a fictional scenario of England being behind to New Zealand in the last play of the game. Your task is to guide England to victory. You use your up or down key to position your player and ensure that you are positioned under the chip through.

Whilst the object is to get from one side of the field to the other, you can narrowly avoid the Kiwi destroyers trying to tackle you for points – the closer the shave the more points you get. Alternatively, you can barge your attackers out of the way, unless they’re bigger than you in which case you’ll get sat square on your backside!

Welcome.

Greetings and salutations. This blog sets out to cover the world of the up and coming Rugby Management simulation: Blackout Rugby.com.

The game itself may remind you of that classic stalwart of Sports Management: Championship Manager. The Soccer Management game reached its zenith with Championship Manager 2 and 3 with the game played across the soccer world. In Hong Kong, there were (and I believe still are) groups who meet up and play leagues over the space of weekends. The game has even spawned a coin-op look-a-like in Japan's  arcades, mixing the trading of soccer cards with the whole idea of managing a team.

Well relax, look no further! Because there is a Rugby equivelent, and boy is it great! In this blog, we'll introduce you to the wonders of the game and explain what its all about.
