Why so late? I mean I find that quite strange to organize that more than three years in advance. I may not be the right personne to understand that, I have always lived (since I am an adult) in "union libre".

Anyway if this makes you happy then congratulation, I've always liked the others to be happy.

Not meaning to be offensive or anything, but I always feel that long engagements are setting your relationship up to fail. But really what would I know on the subject?

So let's have some TRF reps at the wedding, like wigan who lives in England and perhaps Captian America just ebcause.

But seriously, congratulations.

6 months.

Not long at all, I know, it's just one of those things that I'm 100% sure about, as is my lovely Jo, otherwise she wouldn't have said yeah.

Serge - we'd both get married tomorrow if we had the chance, it's just that these things cost a lot of money. And as you will all find out when you come to England, England is bloody expensive.

A TRF delegation would be most welcome, although you're in for a shock - I thought it was common knowledge I don't drink alcohol?

Stubbies? I would have thought that'd be standard dress code. I'll try and save up some cash for a new pair of gumboots. Possibly white ones. St Helens doesn't drink? Ah well, more for us.

Chiro, you freak, I don't have a space ship, I have a Hovercraft. It's full of Eels. Perhaps by 2008 I'll have a ship, but we'll have to wait till then.

Ripper, I'll bring my 'nana's. Wait, by "nanas" I mean bananas, not grandparents. Stuff it, I'll bring them too. The more the merrier.

If anybody is flying Auckland to Wellington, ask the pilot to stop of at the Lake Dairy in Masterton. Neil (Indian) is a legend around town. They have the best combos. Oh yeah, Congrats Mr. Helens!

Or, does she support Wigan? I mean, we all know you love a good argument. http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

And guys, if you can swing by L.A. on your hovercraftian adventure, I'll be the one on the beach without fake breasts. Having said that, I'll go ahead and assume that I'll still be on the beach (now less-populated) when you leave.

I think we need a Hall of Fame for this thread, amongst others!

That ring on Jo's finger in the picture isn't an engagement ring, it's a ring that her mum bought her for Christmas that she happens to wear on that finger.

I'll get a photo soon of her, furnished with the correct ring.

captainamerica - she's still on the fence. She likes watching Saints play, however, she does NOT like Knowsley Road as she has bad knees and it hurts her to stand up. She does, however, know that Wigan are.... ****, basically. The draw to Saints is Mark Edmondson who is, and I quote, "from near where I live." And he's good.

This world hovercraft tour is... interesting, although my fiancee will be dashing your hopes of ice cream, as we're having chicken legs, vol au vents and cheesecake. And the hovercraft is not allowed at the church, as it will, and I quote, "scare the horses."

Mrs SHRLFC
10-05-05, 12:02 PM
If you want to come by hovercraft can you please get off at Dover or somewhere and transfer to a vintage car?
Hovercrafts are soooo last season.

I DO NOT support Saints. I go watching them cos I think they are good but I'm not getting rid of my Wigan shirts just yet. At least the JJB has seats. Maybe I can be the first person ever to support both clubs. The rivalry doesn't bother me cos I'm from neither town and don't have a strong allegiance to them anyway.

We aren't having ice cream sorry. I want a huge mad buffet with everything on it but not ice cream cos someone might drop it on my dress.

Any specific car in mind, we wouldn't want to spoil the mood by arriving in the wrong car, although there could be a delay if certain people need to stop for ice-cream now there won't be any at the wedding.

How old?

Pensioners? -- Might have trouble getting them down the aisle. Might need to borrow robbinho's jetpack.

Incidentally, my head exploded trying to catch up with this thread.

It's not the baldness so much as it is the brain and blood seeping all over my face. You know, from the explosion and all.

I'd like to take the time now to comment on the debauchery to be had the night before and then after the wedding:

What goes on in Ripper's shed -- Stays in Ripper's shed.

And thank god for that because the thought is disgusting.

Ripper's Shed.

Sure, I know his real name isn't Ripper (what if his name was Consuela -- that might make things a tad nicer. Welcome to Consuela's Shed. Here, have a cake.)

But Ripper's Shed?

I smell burnt popcorn and wet dog. I see things soaking in formaldehyde. What's the kiwi equivalent for Rednecks?

Bah, I'm sure it'll be fine. Rips, I'll bring a Kurt Warner poster to cover up that whore-shaped hole in the wall.

How does that work? Are you going to make them fight to see who's actually the 'Best Man'? [/b]
No, they'll both just pass the rings over for me. One is in the Navy.

Captainamerica - they won't be needing jetpacks quite yet!

esoj - thank you

function - no ideas yet, we need to start looking into things like this very soon, and I dare say we will. I intend to have a chocolate fountain though; perhaps you could bring some of your bananas, Kaftka? http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

No dogs in MY shed - although we might have to make some exceptions if Neh is to attend this Bash, one of my dogs has a bladder problem and the other ****s at the drop of a hat... or the wag of a tail so to speak

Congratulations on the engagement and future wedding Helen and missus Helen, but why the extra three years?

Also, stick to that chocolate fountain idea. Just make sure no kids approach it, the brides dress will be off white with little brown handmarks on it if they do.
