European Championship 2009

The Final Tournament of the Sevens European Championship (Men and Women) will be held in Hannover, Germany on 11-12th July 2009.

By car maybe 3 hours from Belgium. The Hannover Sevens are getting bigger, and there is a lot of Entertainment beside the tournament. :P

Well I can always take the 13th off and make it a nice German weekend.
Are there any sighseeing oppurtunities you could recommand in Hannover and/or surroundings?

You can visit Hameln, the "Pied Piper" Town, it is only 45 km or Celle same distance both with nice medieval old towns.
But I think if you like beer you will need the 13th for your hangover. Cause there is the biggest "Schützenfest" (like Oktoberfest) worldwide, only 50meters from the stadium. :P
