View Full Version : Northland to go all the way
I think the boys up north have got what it takes to go all the way this year. And I'm not just saying that. They've got a lot of talented youngsters coming through the ranks to go with Northland's hardened veterans. They've done well in the off-season building a solid coaching staff and have recruited well with some exciting new All Blacks in waiting. Bring on the NPL!

We're probably going to lose the shield this year. We've got Bay of Plenty, (and I think) Waikato and Taranaki at home before we get our All Blacks back.

And by Good recruting you don't surely mean all the shitty cast offs we offload up North thanks to the Loaning system... http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
Auckland will come in the Lower Half - which I want for 2 reasons - It means they'll end up in the same half as Hawkes Bay will so Ill get to see more of them - and hopefully we'll fire Lams crappy arse and make Nucifora our NPC coach as well as our S12 coach.

No, thats Waikato. In Northland its "did your mum marry the black guy who stole your cousins crop?"... And the answer is no.
I was born in Auckland... be jealous of me

Ohhhhh so we (Wellington) have to play a full strength Cantab team to try an take the shield. My money's on that prick Steve Walsh being the ref

Wally my son.
Just when I was starting to have a little bit of respect for you. Why did you have to put your foot in it and make such an outlandish statement as even hinting that Northland could go all the way?
That is WORSE than saying the Warriors should be the third team in the SOO series.
Take out all the AB's from the other teams. Northland would still come nowhere.
Get rid of all the S12 players from the other teams. Northland would do alright but would still get beaten by Auckland, Wellington, and definitely Canterbury.
Northland only ever had one serious weapon. And he went off to play for Agen in France.

Truth be told, I was going with the team that played against Marlborough. I suppose that we will be getting players back from the Junior All Blacks, and the Maori. So actually, that should definately increase the strength of the side. And fair go to Aussie McLean, we've seen some decent players coming through the NPC side since he's been in charge.
Imagine how owned you'd all be if Northland did well. If they beat Auckland I want a present.

But they won't because as usual, they will be shithouse. This year they were the only 1st division team to have no super 12 players.
So Wally who do you expect to be Northlands standout player this season? As you are their only fan.
There was a bloke here last year that supported Northland. And they came close to beating Auckland last year. Anyway, it's the only place with decent women in the whole of New Zealand so there's my reason for supporting them.

Coromandel is not in Northland man, its part of the mighty Swamp Foxes.
I sliced my leg on a rock in the Coromandel back in the days of primary school.
Big gash + Salt water = Not fun.
Still have a scar.

I stubbed my toe in the Coromandel when I was a kid. At the Blue Dolphin Holiday park, Whitianga, to be a bit more specific.
To be more specific, I went on a walk along the beach, I must have gone about 2 ks away from the holiday park in that town just north of Thames, and of course I was just a kid so I had to play on every damn shell covered rock I could see. Stupid Flanders.
