Forgone conclusions, or what??
Spain will have a tougher time of it, but it looks like an easy betting double to me........

You're right, but you can never be sure in the opening games. I fancy both the teams expected to win to be troubled, especially the overrated Portugese.

I'd write off the Russians quicker than the Greeks, they were far more impressive in qualifying topping their group ahead of Spain and the Ukraine.
Don't forget Senegal v France from the WC02. Anything could happen.
I reckon Portugal 2-0 Greece and Spain 0-1 Russia

Just have a feeling that Portugal will be the big dissappointment of the tournament.

Looks like I may be right, Figo said in an interview in El Pais that he's not too pleased at Deco's inclusion in the Portuguese squad and that it could create disharmony within the camp.

Yet again!
Spain should win easily i would say. Portugal should win but anything is possible.

They'll win but I can't see it being easy - the Commies are hard to break down.

Finished 2-1 to the Greeks, they just looked far more committed. Ronaldo is a twat and Couto looks past it.
Spain 1-0 Russia - the Portugal game had 4000 spare seats! Home bloody nation.

Havn't been that many empty seats since Euro 96.
