Not living in the UK, I was curious as to what the "Coral.co.uk" logo atop of all the Guinness Premiership Players Numbers was. So, I visited, I saw, and it left me with the question of how many people actually do place bets on Rugby Union. Moreoever, how many people here on the Rugby Forum put their pocket book where their mouth is? I know there are other betting sites like Paddy Power, so I'm not so concerned with just Coral. But let's have it! Who bets, who's won, who's lost?

I must admit it is tempting to bet on sporting events but given family history with gambling I've been well advised to steer clear of that malarky despite the appeal.

Only ever made one bet in my life and that was to win £40 on the Grand National a few years back (Montys Pass came home at 20-1).
Anyway, I was tempted to use the free £10 bet Coral offer a few weeks back for Northampton v Worcester a few weeks ago thinking I'd make a few quid, but luckily I didn't bother.
On the other side of the coin though, I still have my free bet! :D

I have a bet at least twice a week.
But I'm coy - I ONLY put £1 on per bet.

I haven't bet on rugby yet, simply because it isn't available from Canada other than via websites. The other problem is I don't get to watch enough to really have a feel for the pattern of play and the spread is usually a weak indication of that. However I have placed numerous bets, whether through normal people. i.e I made $30 on the Cleveland/Oakland raiders game a few weeks back in the NFL. And if anyone knows anything about the NFL that is the most pointless game to gamble on but I digress. I have also made a few bets through pro-line, but that sucks simply because it is more of a lottery than just straight up spots betting because you have to get three outcomes of three different games right to win any money.
