Former England hooker Steve Thompson will come out of retirement to play for French club Brive.

Very nice signing here. Brive will need him if they want to stay clear of the drop zone in Top 14 this season. There are too many solid mid-table teams and it will likely be a fight between five or even six of them to see who drops.

He's is/was England equivelent of Matt Dunning except he wasnt able to slot drop goals. :bleh!:

I thought he was forced into retirement becasue of injury!

Of course Hartley is the better of the two. Thompson hasn't been playing!
