As a matter of both curiousity and boredom, if there was ever to be a North vs South (Hemispheres, obviously) What would the 22 panel be like on both sides, who would be the coach's and what grounds would the ONE game affair take place in?

Im going to go off now and pick my best Northern Hemisphere Team because I live on that side, so its only fair. Pick your 22 depending what side you live on, and lets see who comes up with the best team! Then all we need is some contacts, a few phone numbers and a 6 pack*.

I'd have Parisse at 8, Blair at 9, Jauzion at 13 (unless O'Driscoll regathers his form), Ellis at 20 (based on his game yesterday), Hook at 21 and I'm stumped to think of a secondary hooker, just like you.

    So:

I don't know who'd be in my SH team. I'd probably like to see Ma'a Nonu in the fold somewhere, I enjoy watching him play and I can't say he was in terrible form for the Hurricanes this season. I'd also like to see Ryan Kankowski and Pierre Spies in the fold somewhere. Also Luke McAllister and Stirling Mortlock would fit in somewhere no doubt, I'd like to see that center partnership...I doubt I'm alone.

I'd have Smith ahead of McCaw on Super 14 form.

But yes... realistically you'd probably have McCaw start and leading the team with Smith on the bench.

The only Wallabies I'd have in the team would be Smith, Vickerman, Giteau and Mortlock.

I was about to say, this team was meant to represent the Southern Hemisphere... not just the Tri Nations countries.

100% agreed on Roncero and Ledesma. Hernandez would probably be at fullback with Latham retiring.

I'd also think there would be some Tongan and Fijian players pushing for selection. Maka could be an option at no. 8?

Buckley, good around the park but cant scrummage. In my eyes that makes him a poor prop. Jason White is so off form he wouldnt get a look in. Otherwise not bad.

I disagree Danny. I think his scrummaging is good, but at Loose head it is below average. He only ever plays LH in case of an injury anyway so it is not too much to worry about. If he is at TH he is fine.

As I said, he (Jason White) impressed me in the latter stages of the 6N.
He's good in the line-out and hits harder than most people in the NH.
Personal bias as well, he's maybe the nicest man in rugby...that I've met at least.

-Complete dominance at the lineout assured

I disagree Danny. I think his scrummaging is good, but at Loose head it is below average. He only ever plays LH in case of an injury anyway so it is not too much to worry about. If he is at TH he is fine.

To be fair Ive seen him play only a handfull of games and he did struggle in a couple of them at tight head. I know that some props just struggle against certain opposition so perhaps that was it. As you watch him regularly I will bow to your superior Munster knowledge. When he gets a good run on the big stage we will really see his worth.Surely got to be a better bet than Hayes?

Considering Hayes' age I would prefer to see Buckley starting but the bull is just playing too well at the moment. Hopefully Buckley will wreak havoc coming off the bench on Saturday.

I would never say that Buckley is an excellent scrummager, his Loose play and Counter rucking are his best assets but when he plays Loose head he does seem to struggle. The Irish scrum didn't move an Inch backwards throughout the six nations and he did play 20 minutes at LH against England and did fine in the scrum.

The first and only time theres ever been a North vs South match was the charity match to raise money for the Asian Tsunami.

During the match, Jonah Lomu played his final game of something remotely international rugby, Chris Paterson was actually played in the correct position and prospered and Martin Johnson scowled.

Anyone remember that Charity game back in 06 after the Tsunami, it was pretty good stuff even though the North got hammered, I remember a particularly good Mirco Bergamasco try when he caught a delicious little David Humphreys chip, but it was quite second string.
