I really rated Filipo before he left New Zealand. Not at all unhappy about him coming back to Wellington. If he's good enough I would mind him playing for the Canes either.

I heard he wasn't all that good for Wasps. With Tom Palmer coming in they should be well stocked in lock.

Not really a transfer but Jebb Sinclair's loan has been extended by London Irish and he will be playing in the Currie Cup for Western Province.

    Lol

He signed for Cardiff RFC as Martyn Fowler is now Director of Rugby there as well as being Head Coach for Cardiff Uni. I thought it was common knowledge that he had signed on a dual with the Blues. Gatland two Varisty matches ago told the lad that he was very impressed and had all the tool's to be successful.

Would that be the last Varsity in the Liberty or the first one in the Millennium? Trying to remember if he was playing in one of the one's Ive been to. No doubt i wouldnt remember seeing as Id have been sloshed in the stands...

Bristol Rugby have secured another impressive signing, with the addition of Samoan Sevens star Alafoti Faosiliva.

The 26 year-old, who stands at 6’1’’ and weighs nearly 18 stone, can play at flanker or No. 8.

With ten full international caps under his belt, Faosiliva enjoyed a brief spell with Toulon following the 2011 Rugby World Cup, providing cover for the injured Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe.

Widely regarded as one of the strongest players on the sevens circuit, Faosiliva was nominated for the 2010 IRB International Sevens Player Of The Year.

Plymouth Albion continue their love affair with Canadian forwards, as they have signed 2nd rower, Brett Beukeboom from the Ontario Blues. He's been nominated for CRC player of the year and did really well in the games the Blues played against Uruguay and Chile. He also started against the U.S.A. this June and came off the bench against Georgia for the full national side.

Brett Beukeboom, Ontario Blues ------> Plymouth Albion

Also Josh Jackson is no longer with the recently promoted Montois side in the Top 14, I don't have any word on where he has gone though he hasn't signed with a club yet, it could possibly be a retirement.

Have some more info on Josh Jackson he has indeed been released by the recently promoted Montois side, he has not retired and is simply looking for another club and weighing those potential options.

It was a rumor started a long ago time. This time, it's official. Japanese Yohei Shinomiya, after six months at the club PARC, in Pro D2, returned to Italy and signed with the club of Reggio. The winger, 33, former player including Kintetsu Liners (2008-2010), spent half a season in the ghostly French club (he played only 9 minutes with PARC), and will therefore try to raise with the Italian club.

Corne Uys and Cameron Shepard to Sale Sharks.
A permanently injured player from the relegated side, and someone who got dropped from their new club because he didn't pass the medical.............gulp!

Should do well enough as backups, but can't see them being starters. Hopefully they don't hinder the progress of Addison/Jennings/Davies by going in front of them in the pecking order.

    Scarlets seem to have signed:
*Jake Ball (2nd Row from Western Force)
*Jacobie Adriaanse (Prop from Golden Lions)
*Johan Snyman (2nd Row from Eastern Province Kings)

Jake Ball is WQ because he has a Welsh father, and the other two are waiting for clearance from the WRU

Along with Jason Eaton, Manuel Carizza, Ian Evans, Dan Lydiate, Alex Cuthbert, Ali Williams, Campbell Johnstone, Pat Cilliers, Gareth Edwards, Ben Smith, and Ed Fairhurst.

I might believe the more obscure signings such as the ones that have recently been hinted, because the players are virtually unknown to NH audiences, so they wouldn't just know them offhand.
I am all for WQ second rows.

Three new recruits in Fukuoka Sanix Blues

Club Munakata, who lost his nugget this summer, the international Japanese Kosei Ono, Suntory Sungoliath join the party, has just hired two weeks before the championship began three new recruits, arriving so late in the club. The three newcomers are scrum-half Tom Hiratsuka (26 years, 162 cm, 65 kg), Club of Footscray (Australia), Koji SHIGEEDA Pillar (30 years, 178 cm, 100 kg), Club of Western Suburbs (new Zealand) and finally the flyhalf Tatsuya Fukuzaki (18, 174 cm, 74 kg), Rotorua Boy's High School (New Zealand). Three Japanese expatriates returning hence on the archipelago. Tatsuya Fukuzaki, a native of Fukuoka, is only 18 years old, the youngest player on a team of Top League! Will it one of the big revelations of the coming season? In any case, replace the late Kosei Ono will be far from easy for the young player.

Former Bristol and Leicester winger Lee Robinson revealed today on Facebook he's joining L'Aquila. Can't find any confirmatory though

Does he play on the loose or the tight? Also how old is he?

From an article I read, it sounds like he's a good scrummaging prop, just what the Scarlets needed, so could be a very good signing.

27 year old tighthead. I haven't seen much of him, so I can't comment on his abilities.
