Pity. Must've been poor offers though. He's 1 player I've seen a good few times and well majority of time it's a very positive performance from him and he is reliable and a leader.

He did well for the Lions during his stint with them during the Super Rugby campaign in 2009. Really disappointed in the boy now that Duck has said that he turned down a move to France.

Family reasons. And again he signed with the NTT Shining Arcs,a very ambitious Japanese club for next season. They have already recruited the brothers Saunders(international Filipino, very good players)and Karauria-Henry.And by September, they will recruit international southern hemisphere (Newz, Australia...).Masato Hayashi witht he controls, this club will make a great season 2012/2013!

Yes, I was told by somebody who has contact with some people from the American Sevens set up, and it was reported that in the French media that there was more than one club in Europe who wanted him, but I guess he just went to the highest bidder

no offense to the Top League, but nobody knows outside Japan whether you're a good player there it's basically anonymity, but playing Heineken Cup/Super Rugby he could have been remembered as a legend like Dan Lyle, he was immense for Bath

According the Rugby Paper (who I don't know whether to believe after that nonsense Richie Gray to Toulouse rumour) says that Riki Flutey has signed for the Ricoh Black Rams (Haskell's old team which is presumably the link), Fissler says it is a DONE DEAL

it's on the front page so it may have more truth to it, would be embarrassing for the front page to be nonsense

Ah, the Rugby Paper is generally right about these things. That's a fierce shame, he can kiss his England jersey goodbye.
