The Blues have brought back in Halfpenny, Roberts and Bradley Davies, with Sweeney recalled at 10 and Henson covering that position on the bench. Interesting- Could this mean they won't be using Parks next week vs Leinster? It's a pretty good backline if they can make it click.

They should have been playing Henson at 10 or at least trying him off the bench there during the six nations (when he's been fit). Parks and Sweeney are so shit it's ridiculous.

Just so everyone's clear heres the list of

    Players unavailable for selection:

    Michael Paterson - neck/shoulder
    Gethin Jenkins - shoulder.
    Sam Warburton - shoulder
    T Rhys Thomas - neck
    Martyn Williams - ribs
    Paul Tito - head
    Richard Mustoe - hip
    Fau Filise - shoulder
    Andries Pretorius - knee
    Deiniol Jones - shoulders

Glad to see PArks dropped as he was pants the last game we had, good to see Bradley Davies, Roberts and Halfers back in the team, apart form that I dont understand why they dont give Henson a centre spot alongside Roberts who stick him in at 10 it would be impossible for him to be worse than PArks or Sweeney so any improvement is welcome.

Just heard that Rush has pulled out because his partner is giving birth. So Cook goes to 6 and Molitika to 8 . With Yapp, Tyrell and Andrews as front row, this has got to be one of the worst Blues packs i've seen in a pro 12 match.

That is quite poor. There must be another 8 in the Blues region that's worth developing? Their reliance on Rush is ridiculous. Gonna be up to their impressive backs (save for Sweeney) to win them this match I feel.

Andries Pretorius is out and the Blues are possibly looking at Ellis Jenkins or Dan Crimmins for next season.

Hamilton being moulded for Second Row / Flanker and well Sheppeard is off the radar and is with Ponty. Sheppeard is the man the Blues need to blood through.

The Blues have enough little second rows. I quite liked the look of Luke at 8 last year.
If they want to go 'abroad', Ben Thomas at Bridgend. Competed for the 8 shirt last year with Luke, big lad. Playing 4 and 6 right now.

Last I heard was Pretorius back by March, just around the beginning of the year. Must have changed, eh?

Ponty have a good standoff, Lewis Williams. Considering Sweeney and Park are off, Tovey is up and down, and Patchell still a young lad.
    I'll take him with us!

Absolutely pitiful performance by the Blues tonight. They're screwed next year when they lose Gethin and Laulala

I hear the 'diff were poor tonight. Doesn't bode well for the HC

Blues were awful tonight. What are Baber and Burnell doing, because the team has no shape whatsoever. They'll be lucky to escape a 50 point thrashing against Leinster unless something big changes by next week. The injury list didn't help, but that wasn't the only issue.

That front-row is absolutely rubbish, possibly the worst in the Pro-12. Yapp and Andrews are nowhere near regional level. My mind boggles as to why it took so long for Yapp to be substituted, and why Andrews was left on for the whole 80! Tyrrell did a couple of ok things, but ultimately isn't all that good. Breeze had the opposite of a good impact. Their discipline was shocking as well. How many times were the Blues pinged for early engagement? I know Clancy was being picky here, but to be fair he let them know from the off that he wasn't going to allow it. The rest of the Blues pack had little hope. Cook tried his hardest and actually had a half decent game out of position at 6, but he was constantly on the back foot.

This all made the backs jobs even harder, and with Sweeney slowing things down further at 10, the outside backs had little hope. Sweeney didn't get the centres into the game at all, and his forward pass to Roberts at one stage just showed that he isn't capable adjusting to what's happening around him. To make things even worse, both wingers were poor, and knocked the ball on every time it found it's way to them. Halfpenny and Laulala were the only two who can hold their heads up high in the backs.

Just to rub salt into the wound, Roberts was injured and doesn't look to good for next week.

    It's a complete shambles.

Like the Ospreys, getting rid of the coach will only do so much.

Back to CAP. Get the real support back and build from there.

Thomas may well be the problem. But the coaching is no better. B+B are booked in but need a quick check out.

I hope we do get a hammering against Leinster. I'm fed up of saying this coaching team are inept and perhaps 2 bonus point losses and a hammering in the HC will be enough for some change.

bit harsh to call those few who do go to the CCS not "real" support

My mistake, what I typed didn't reflect my intent.
What I mean is the very strong Cardiff RFC fans who feel disenfranchised with the Blues.
Get season ticket holders in, not just people with free tickets.

but then they would have criticism from fans from Pontypridd for example for not attempting to spread out into the region if they became even more Cardiff-ed up
