Our set-pieces plus execution of driving mauls have been excellent, really pleased about that.

Drawing the man before passing is one of the first things you learn in rugby, poor from Farrell. It's not just Farrell though, I'm constantly amazed by how many international players simply aren't capable of doing such a basic thing. Loads of players either give the pass to early, run across the pitch cutting the space down for the men out wide, or throw some long missed pass. All of which just make it easy for the defence.

Great run by Hartley in the build up to that try.

Better awareness from Farrell this time to put Ashton in.

Completely agree. The only possible defence I suppose is if they think that shipping it immediately theres enough space just to run straight in. I think thats what Mike Brown did in the Wales six nation game - shipped it to Strettle because he overestimated the space. Still an error of judgement in itself I suppose.

Stevens is having a surprisingly decent game. Still gave away his customary breakdown penalty, though.

Donald has to be the luckiest 10 in the world.........95 NZ 10's got injured and Nick Nick was not considered because he had taken the english gelt...so Donald was gifted a world cup winners medal when he should have stayed on holiday fishing. Then Bath gave him a contract for which he has done little other than be injured and now he is getting some 15/20k to be part of the annual Barbarian booze up and still he cannot perform....wondered if there were any highlights in his career that I have not heard about or seen?

Hard to judge the match really as there is nothing riding on it.............................bit of a run out before they get on the plane i would suggest and not to be taken too seriously? Would say that, not being one of his fans, it is good to see Ashton getting some confidence back if only to provide challenges for selection...............

    22- England.

Wade hasn't had much ball, so he's been trying to force himself into the game a bit. His time is still to come I think/hope

Went to Trinity College, played rugby for Lansdowne RFC, played for Ireland u19's and u21's and played four seasons with Leinster. Not so clear cut. I'm not saying he shouldn't play for England but am simply wondering why people who like to troll English rugby about foreigners don't bring him up.

To your last question I ask who wouldn't want to play with the Irish frontrow. Healy is beautiful and Best is

Joseph, Goode, Launchbury, and Gibson all getting on - good to see. Joseph showing a glimpse or two already.

Seeing as you don't remember, he was cat for Leinster. At the time few people would have considered him a loss, I certainly didn't. He's done well for himself over in England, I have no complaints about him playing for them across the water.

Bothas been impressive. He's not a lock made of iron but he's athletic and has been a good link between our backs. Looking forward to seeing Launchbury

I'm not talking about how good he was and as I said I don't actually care that he plays for England. I'm simply wondering why people who are willing to troll over the fact that Dickson was born in Germany don't bring him up.

Somewhat surprisingly, Dowson is playing very very nicely as well. Did well to give Wade a walk-in for his try there.

Because he was born and raised in England. More a case of Ireland trying to poach him when he went over there for university.
Dirty Irish poachers, they tried it with Geraghty as well.

Good to see Ashton back on form. Been impressed with Johnson too. Botha would've had a good game if he was a centre, good on the crash ball/carrying, but completely anonymous in the tight and his defence at time was rubbish.

Is it me or do the English team look quite "lightweight" compared to a lot of huge players playing in the Top 14/SH?

Both were fairly half arsed attempts.

When Geraghty told his dad he was gonna play for England he stood up and walked out of the room.

Think people will have to wait and see before saying Ashton's back on form. Baa-baa's organisation hasn't been great Springboks will be another story. I've always been impressed by Johnson he's incredibly unlucky with the amount of blindsides in England.

Ashton's been playing decent for Saints the past couple of weeks as well, though.

Shame that Dowson is having to come off. If he plays at his intelligent best like he has today, I certainly wouldn't be against him being put in the starting XV later this Summer.

Haha, why on Earth did Balshaw pass the ball there?
