If they can play the sport at that level then they're obviously in good enough shape, regardless of what you think of their body composition.

No you're wrong. Look how fit the USA team is, and Great Britain expects to beat them with people who look like they have trained like amateurs.

No she does not have a penis. She has female genitalia but male chromosomes. Get your facts right! It's continued comments like that which is wrecking her career.

MLB players not being allowed to play in the World cup might have something to do with this.

    I'd find that highly arousing

Also Your first post about finely toned has not place on a Rugby forum either , there aren't many toned pro players due diet and the benefit of actually having said layer of fat , a cut would be detrimental to a players season.

If you wan't toned athletes look at IFBB events.

Are you telling me that players like this lovely chap aren't highly toned?

Nobody had brought up Dunning for awhile, I felt it was needed.

There is no or little benefit of fat unless you are cold, they are running about and therefore not cold. The IFBB events are at the other end of the scale, they are unhealthily bulky. Toned means in the correct proportions.

    Correct by whose perception ?
Fat is beneficial as it is the by product of a players bulk , and in effect adds weight to a collisison...to remove fat one must eat at a caloric deficit , which not only prevents the growth of new muscle it hinders performance during the cutting period.

The act of cutting to remove bulk is only an aesthetic indulgence .. something I do subscribe to as a vain bastard but not something that will have a benefit to a rugby player.

No being fat just makes it a softer collision for the opposition. There was a picture of Matt Dunning a few posts up, he'd be like tackling a giant marshmallow whilst a finely toned athlete like Tom Croft would be much harder to tackle than Dunning. Look how easier Rupeni Caucau is to deal with for defences now he is fat compared to when he was chunky.

If being fat was an advantage then Japan would just fill their entire side with sumo wrestlers and would be world champions, but it doesn't work like that. Was the world's fattest player Bill Cavubati a legend? No.

How many rugby players look like the man below? None because it is an ineffective build for a rugby player and would be easy to tackle as the squishiness would mean you wouldn't get hurt.

You're taking it beyond the limit , I was saying a layer of fat is beneficial to a player.. Which it is , and now to counteract that argument you're using the argument that being obese is not beneficial to a player...I'm sure that took some working out.

Baseball actually has a moderate international following, the Americans haven't won either World Baseball Classic(highest level of intenational play yet) and even lost to Canada at home 8-6 in 2006. Some other decent teams include Japan, South Korea, Venezuela, Panama, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Australia, Canada, Netherlands.

The 2013 tournament will also feature some qualifying rounds, Canada actually have to qualify since we did shit in 2009, our qualification group we should walk all over though, it's Canada, Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain.

Some years back I use to be a Blue Jays fan when they still showed it on TV here. They were doing quite well back then. But if you lose to them you can always take revenge in the Ice Hockey and beat the shit out of them
