If he stays injury-free (this is a massive 'if') , Saints will be all the better for him I believe.

On form, and uninjured, he's top class.
Great signing for Saints if they can keep him out of the physio's room!

Out of interest I looked in the Saints squad for next season through wikipedia... it seems with Waldocuk Saints with have 55. i then looked at the wikpedia for wasps to count the squad, who at present are set to have just 34.

Can anybody remind me of the minimum and maximum squad sizes for the premiership?

EDIT: the wasps page has helf out half a dozen previouslyu academy players who are now senior squad. Allowing for that, we'd have a squad of abotu 40. Still seems small.

I'm not sure there is a minimum/maximum, is there?
I've never heard one mentioned before, anyway.

Sale have 40 for next season, including several academy players who have just come up (who will presumably go elsewhere on loan, like last season).

In terms of numbers 40 is fine. As long as theres cover for the most important positions like prop, hooker and 10's etc.

Leicester tigers have 47 in their squad, not including academy players.
