I think he's a ****house too. My favourite moment today was when Higginbotham completely steamrollered him in the first minute.

Wow, what a defensive effort by the Sharks. Great game, Coetzee and Pietersen were awesome. Except for Bosman scoring on the 5m and ....ing Mcleod passing to no one.

Next week's game is going to be interesting, I can't wait.

Does anyone else get the idea that Kaplan looks like he's walking around with something shoved up his bumhole?

Looks like someone took a line on Kaplan's head.

Everyone is asking what happened to the Reds since last year.

Stu Dickinson isn't on their team anymore.

In all fairness to Charl, the cock-up could have been Michalak shifting just before the ball was passed.
Well done lads, and effort to be proud of.
Good to get the away knockout matches monkey off our back.

JP, is there a better wing in world rugby? Such a class act.

    Newlands it is!

Had to laugh when one of the Aussue commentators said that the Sharks had been "offside in the backs all night".

Talk about pots and kettles. The Reds are the absolute masters of being offside in the backs, in fact most teams spend a lot of time being offside, and many referees simply don't pick it up.

Also, I object to Quade Cooper being allowed to be the water boy. When a player is suspended, they ought not to be allowed to take ANY part in the game whatsoever, even if its a position of minimal influence.

I was actually thinking about that. Being suspended means not being on the field right? If he was injured, it would be a different story. cooky, what are the rules on this? You should know.

Quite enjoyed this match - or at least the bits of it I saw from my seat behind two people with particularly fat heads at the pub....

It was a bit of a strange match - the Reds looked very threatening throughout the match but seemed to make basic handling errors whenever they looked like scoring. I'm not saying the Sharks didn't deserve to win (as I thought they did, as they were far more clinical), but from what I saw the Reds appeared to be on top for large parts of the match. The Sharks scored a couple of superb tries, with the try to Jordaan surely a contender for try of the season.

I thought Higginbotham and Ioane were the best of the Reds. I'm still not convinced Higginbotham does enough work in the tight, but he is always a massive threat with ball in hand at this level. Coetzee was man of the match for me, making massive yards with ball in hand, and a pile of tackles. I was quite impressed with Bresler's work-rate, and also thought Daniel had a pretty good game too (though gave away a few too many penalties). Mvovo, Jordaan, and Pietersen were the pick of the Sharks backs for me.

The Reds reminded me of how the Blues played all season - plenty of chances, but never able to finish them off, always knocking the ball forward or conceding a penalty/turnover at the crucial moment.

It hasn't been much of a secret in the staff room, rest assured Ezequiel is only feigning ignorance.

Yeah, I was just going along with the 'surprising' responses. Of course we knew as staff. We gave Shovenose/Cave Dweller the opportunity to pick his old or new username to use. He decided to continue using the nickname "Shovenose". It's not our responsibility to keep that classified when he is showing his true colors one way or the other of course.

Not entirely correct. I chose the one that was easiest for the admin and me to be available at the time. Someone actually asked me on Twitter to return. Dunno how he knew it was me

What is not entirely correct? We gave you a choice, you made a decision. End of story. If only you could change attitude together with a new user account, that would be nice.

i didn't know the sharks could park the bus :O

well neither did i think that when the BA did it in the dying minutes of the RWC final...

sharks looked good 1st half... the parked the bus on defence... must have learned that from the stromers...

Reds looked too deperate and impatienced at times, threw a few tries away cuz of this...

if only they took their time...

still a good 1st half by the sharks and being away from home...

wonder if cooper would have made a diff for the reds on attack :? mmmm...
This can't be Naas Botha.........This man is running with the ball...
