    Go Bombers!

    Scott Lucas!

    etc.

Saw the Bombers beat Geelong last year, but they seem to flounder unless I'm in the stadium.

    Nice jerseys though.

Pretty much none as far as I'm aware. Certainly haven't seen any around.

It's annoying, I enjoy watching it, but it would attract anywhere near attention over here to make it worthwhile showing I don't think.

Have to make do with keeping up with results over the net.

In front of 40,000+ fans the Eagles kicked off there season in fine form beating the Saints 84-66 both teams looked a little rusty and even though the Eagles were in control for the entire game poor kicking kept the Saints in touch.

have to disagree with the last 2 comments, like the AFL myself, there's a good pace to the game, high level of skill especially when it comes to some of the marks these guys make and their shooting skills aren't too bad either. Plus it makes good tv if there's a blow up.

No I'm quite happy with hurling being the national sport and I'll defy anyone to find a faster more skillful game.

    AFL isnt their national game.

If any game is their national game, it would be rugby league or cricket.

I never really rated it until I went to a match.

It's not as good as rugby (obviously), but it's fun to watch. The skill and fitness levels are very high, and it's great to watch some of the acrobatic marks that get made.

    Zomg noobz.

Cricket is our national game. Australian football might just have it over rugby league, but there are so many different ways to compare the two codes it's close to impossible to know. What I do know is that in Queensland and New South Wales (two of the three biggest states) rugby league is still the far more dominate footy code, for the moment anyway.
