[RWC2023] Ireland vs Scotland (07/10/2023)

I think the tournament has shown that the gaps are:
FRA, IRE, RSA in alphabetical order
NZ

Scotland

Rest of Tier 1 minus Italy plus Fiji
Everyone else

Getting hit by a car/ Rugby Americas sides that didn't qualify

Romania /Namibia

Ireland have literally no weakness. This is 2003 England vibes for me. If they beat the Abs this tournament is won.
Very similar perhaps England had an x factor fullback where Ireland have an exceptional nuts and bolts FB
This is Ireland's best XV to now Ryan is benched for Henderson

I agree with the first 2 tiers, but Scotland beyond a host of others? Lol

At a RWC I have England, Aus, Fiji, Wales all on par.

I like Scotland, but they are so overhyped

Its a testament to Ireland that they appear likely to nill a Scotland side that has scored 69 points against France in three games. I think the top 2 are quite step above 3 and 4. Then Scotland a clear 5th.
Disagree. Top 4 are as close as the top two. There is no gap there. Only small margins. After that it's a different story.

I didn't expect Scotland to win but also didn't see a 26-0 scoreline at HT. I was thinking to myself it's still only 5-0 and Ireland haven't done much but they're just a machine, defensively they've got Scotland's number and so clinical. Scotland should have taken the points when they were on offer.
