1st test - Australia v British & Irish Lions

Gosh I just want a close game in the last 10 minutes.

Uninspiring Lions squad versus an injured Oz team is not great.

The only positive is the game is at 5am my time and my family doesn’t wake up till 7am on the weekends.

Read an interview with him the other week. Seeing a psychologist for collapsed confidence and anxiety problems. Wasn't expecting to be involved at all.

Heading for Racing 92. Didn't want to leave Aus but RA haven't offered him a contract.

All a bit sad really. Hopefully he can rediscover his mojo.

I think we were VERY loosely rumored to be after Tupou this year and Leinster were last year. Hope it works out for him. Probably not easy having so many eyes on him from such a young age and then to suffer a dip in form.

He picked up the drink for the first time in Melbourne as a result of some mental health issues. Was a rapid descent from there.

I’m normally strictly meritocratic, but this is a bit different - supposed to the coming together of the 4 countries and yet here we’ve got something like 11 Irish, 9 English, 3 Scots and nada Welsh.

Might involve a couple of hard luck stories, but a rule requiring at least 2 from each country in any 23 really wouldn’t harm.

Then again I don’t suppose ‘the spirit’ of sport is a thing any more.

Depends on if you see it as " It's Not the winning it's the taking part.

I think I'm with Farrell in that Winning is everything.

The Curry selection baffles me. I feel he hasn't been anywhere near his best since returning from an injury and he's still not 100% fit. VDF or Morgan would have been a better option. I wouldn't have taken Curry on tour tbh

With the ridiculous exclusion of Owen Farrell in the starting 15 this is a great side. Glad the overrated Morgan isn't in the squad. Called it back in the 6 nations that he wouldn't start the first game.

If they lose we will never hear the end of it by Welsh fans about how we lost because Morgan didn't start lol

How would you feel if you were the best in the world in your position but you got left out of the Lions starting lineup because a welshman had to be included in the team?!
