I can’t see this being very popular in Australia but that’s where they seem to targeting a lot of players to cross codes who have strong fanbases in the NRL - time zones mean their going to have most matches outside prime time for a start.

Less than a week ago we had articles suggesting F.Smith had signed.

It's all just trying to drum up interest that isn't really there. We've got the Premiership, 6N, Summer tours and AIs. The French have basically pulled their pants down and mooned out of the coach window at the idea. The URC seem to be doing alright and Japan are happy enough. You're not likely to coax away someone hoping for an All Blacks jersey.

So that sort of leaves Aus and Arg and players looking for an end of career bonus season?

It's not going to happen, but if it does it will be the dampest of squibs.

They do have a decent PR machine to get this much newsprint, I guess.

Interesting they have done it for the women as well. R360 might soon gut the women's game where money vs national pride might have a larger gap.

Also I fully expect R360 to start leaking those pre signed names now. Suspect some will be trying to get out of those contracts through considering I am sure they were sold lies.

exactly, would all be on the basis the comp kicks off in a meaningful way...which its not going too...so they're meaningless

If these backers and people like Tindall want to help rugby....invest in some existing clubs and make them successful...its not rocket surgery
