A Political Thread pt. 2

You're making statements like you have the inside track on what Reform are going to say or do when you don't know any more than the rest of us. PM Farage will be despised up north and will be a gift to support for Scottish independence.
Was just thinking a Reform government would be the best thing to happen for those that want Independence.

If it does end isn’t it a funny coincidence that the genocide just so happens to stop on the same day the hostages are released and Hamas disarm? So weird.

I've largely given up on these threads, it's like wading into a Daily Mail comment section but there's only one or two arseholes.

You might as well be trying to reason with a copy of Razzle that you found in a hedge when you were 13. "Why won't this page open?"
That's why I have certain people on ignore. People are free to think differently, but I'm also free to ignore trolls or idiots.

I love thos attitude, I want everyone to think whatever they want, but if one of them dare to speak it ill run for my life.

Fair play to him for being honest!

IF the genocide ends?

From what ive read IDF will pull back to a certain line? What is that?

Also, I think the next few weeks will prove incredibly important, IF the hostages are released, and IF isreal stop the advance, then quite a few pro Isreal people are going to be doing the 'I told you so' rounds.

A few big IFs to be fair.

The question is, is this a win for Isreal? Netinyahunis on record stating he wanted the hostages, AND an end to Hamas, and no threat from Gaza, that hasn't been completely done has it.

Really you want a resolution where both sides can say they won when in reality neither of them did.

Israel can claim victory by saying look we got the hostages back and have pretty much eradicated Hamas (or removed them from administrative control over Gaza) and Hamas can say look we won, October 7th has shown to work as we are getting a pathway to a Palestinian state which never would've happened if it wasn't for us. I think Hamas will need to hold onto their arms to claim a victory but there’s a long way to go for both sides at the minute anyway. I don't think anyone would be shocked if this went tits up tomorrow

How do genocides usually end? Most of them are short term successful arent they, until they complete or are forcefully ended?

There are usually a string of unintended negative consequences by the hostile, insurgence, retaliation attacks, economic struggles as you've just wiped out a portion of your workforce, political instability and international prosecutions etc...

What of these will apply to Isreal? How will Gazans view Hamas after this is all over? What will be Hamas role in a new potential Palestine?

This is amazing.

The bedwetter draped in a flag with a can of Dr Pepper slew me.
Here's a titbit from the young tory on the upper left.

Absolutely astounding piece in general, but **** me:
"After stonewalling me at dinner last night, my mum gave the same response to the same question"
