I’ve seen a few comments about ‘restriction of trade’ etc. and I can’t see how that holds water. No union is saying ‘you can’t play in R360’. They’re simply saying you can’t play in R360 and also expect to be picked for test matches. It’s a choice - monetary ambitions vs. sporting ambitions.

I don’t see it as massively different to Jack Willis playing in France. It’s his choice and he knows that it comes at the cost of his England place. I’m sure he wants both but that just isn’t how life works.

However Lukhanyo Am, Vincent Tshituka and Ben Jason Dixon are interested. They are all fine players but not the kind (with the possible exception of Am) that are going to put bums on seats.
