A Political Thread pt. 2

This will go down well for some in Labour. More off to the greens it is then. Not a great week for the government

She is expected to say: '"If you don't like this, you won't like what follows me."

Labour better hope there's a large number of voters looking for Reform-Conservate lite because their left voters will voting for someone else next time

Labour have repeatedly shown they don't give a damn about what are supposed to be their core voters. They are putting all their energy into trying to attract reform voters, even though reform voters will never vote for them.

It is such a stupid strategy.

Who is their core voter these days?

From what I see from the last election there seemed to be a mix of 3 groups

1. Tacticals looking to unify against the right.

2. Dissafected centrists looking to stick it to Tories.

3. The Muslim / ethnic minority vote.

Labour at very best can only hold the Ethnic minority group. The tactical types will go Green and Lib dem, and the dissafected will wander abywhere from Green to Reform.

Labours trying to cater to everyone is too similar to the Tories BS.

Are you for banning all religious based schools, and one staye education for all?
It's an interesting idea. Not sure how you square it under the Equalities Act and religious discrimination. If you stopped religious schools, why not go full France and ban religious clothing and symbols.

My sisters school banned Tamagotchi's the ******* zealots. Now it's all about 6-7.

Brain rot by name...

The kids in the primary school all lost the plot when i held the baby up to the window and did the 6 7 motion friday.

IN my day, Batman, Ghostbusters and TMNT seemed high brow!

Starting to escalate out east
And closer in

Not to mention shutting down the odd airport, or comm.s to planes carrying EU officials etc

Russia are 100% testing the boundaries of what they can get away with in Europe - probably to distract us and keep stuff at home, rather than sending it to Ukraine.

Interesting development given the peace plan talks going on in Ukraine. The US were probably going to go hard on the Ukraine corruption issues. With all reports being it's a terrible plan and again shafts the Ukraine.

It's a tad more difficult if Poland and Europe make a stand. Sometimes it just feels like Russia keeps ******* about and at best we tut and make disapproving statements then normal service resumes.

When finding out doesnt come, Russia are free to **** around on european borders as much as they like.

As above, looks a bit of a distraction tactic.

Yeah, it’s a bit embarrassing really. I’m sure Putin is quaking in his boots…. not. European countries are asleep at the wheel. Russia is testing the boundaries just below that threshold that would immediately trigger some kind of military response.

Sounds very easy to say on a forum knowing full well I won't be involved but I think the EU simply needs to send troops directly into Ukraine and fight Russia now. Russia are just going to keep escalating until they face a serious pushback.

Putin won't use nukes, that bluff is obvious. Even if he wanted to, I'm sure plenty of others in power whose egos won't have been so bruised will have no desire to see the country destroyed over his ego.

We have to push back and make a real statement.

I know where you’re coming from - make a big decision now to avoid having to make even bigger, riskier ones later. There’s risk in that and it would be a very hard political sell - but I don’t think any option should be off limits - bar the unthinkable, obviously.
