    Champions/Challenge Cup Playoffs

You have to quarantine for 14 days on arrival. Expect that will change by then but no certainty. Rumours are it will be played in home venue by higher seeded team. As I said before it is a kind of irrelevant ending regardless to both and even winning it looks likely to be behind closed doors...

    Champions/Challenge Cup Playoffs

Like Europe and Pro14 it will be less meaningful. If we won Pro14 it would be wrong as we would have our new guys

    Champions/Challenge Cup Playoffs

Even at that it is still tainted. Sarries could go and take a half hearted view to Dublin be hammered and it is bad for all if there is a 1 sided game. Fair enough if a team is better on the day. Like I will put it in same bracket as Pro14. We play Leinster in August and will be much more...

    Champions/Challenge Cup Playoffs

To be fair it is not a worthy competition inning Europe next year in my eyes. Leinster had great momentum but will have lost that and have some guys a year older but it is not the same beating a half depleted Sarries team. If Racing win it I presume they will have all their new signings and...

    2019-2020 transfers

Issue is more he has played what 4/5 games as a lower level in the past 18month and done no contact in 3 month after a neck operation. Mix all this in with age and the risk is very big in terms of being a success.

    SA teams in Pro??

Been honest this is around a long time. Not even on the radar now as the league more concerned with Welsh clubs surviving. The Covid 19 will I believe result in a lot of restructuring.

Irish Rugby - The Party Years

Yes but mentions alot of 12 too and well it is a hard 1 as that route leaves out Larmour

Irish Rugby - The Party Years

To be honest I think Joey would be too loose as a 12. And not big enough for the traffic that'd come there. Definitely can see it being looked at long term though in terms of developing guys there. If Sexton was where he was in 08/09 now he would be tried there I think.

    2019-2020 transfers

Itoje is a superb player but is helped by having a guy like Kruis who is simply a dark arts guy. Will never get the full credit but does the majority of grunt work and shifting pianos to enable the Itoje's of this world to excel at their roles.

    Step closer to pay TV

I should reverse a bit. I've seen some say August/Sept and others say April/May. If it is April/May it will harm the club game. As @Leinster Fan says it clashes with Premier league but instead of clashing with start it will go against ending. And it will hurt the club game because if you try...

    Step closer to pay TV

https://www.rte.ie/sport/six-nations/2020/0522/1139971-six-nations-sanzaar-calendar/ If they start playing the 6Nations in August then it will be ok going to pay tv as it will be a nail in the coffin of this tournament. It will also harm the national teams here I'd feel as summer tours would...

    A great big Munster thread

He will unlikely be kept on with us as a coach. He seems to want to go to grass roots and work up. Can see him impact AIL and then return in year or 2. As has been said he was a lovely player to watch. The year he was fithe showed what a class act he was. People say the Glasgow home game but...

    A great big Munster thread

Yeah was just waiting for an insurance issue to be finalised before he could retire. A superb player who when fit showed why he was highly rated. And I will call it here and now. He has another child on the way so won't be returning to New Zealand immediately BUT I will guarantee having spoken...

    B&I Lions vs National side

Certainly not that as there is little or no love lost between BOD and Munster. I think it is a context issue. The Lions team is obviously harder to make as there is a bigger pool. 4 Nations as opposed to 1. So that is the pinnacle. However if you asked any player from any nation I'm sure a...

    A great big Munster thread

There is a legal loophole. There is a transfer window in which no new players can play after some date in March, however it says all new signings are free to compete from July 1st. So it a bit of a legal loophole. The issue will be players leaving may have to move on in same way.

    2019-2020 transfers

At 32 a 3 year deal sets him up nicely for retirement. Robin is a superb player but needs that ground to be a bit firm. I think the level and conditions will suit him. They were a team in the hunt for playoffs this year.

    2019-2020 transfers

Lads, lets call it straight. Not much of a loss for Leinster as they are producing consistently at a high level in that academy. As Leinster Fan said there is probably a hidden gem that will come out. Only a few years ago Jamie Hagan was hailed as the hottest prospect at 3 and there will be no...

    A great big Munster thread

Was shocked t see Aungier leave also though. Connors is just a rumour as I said it unlikely we need him. Yes if he was here he would make a serious impact but I think Hodnett will be pushed. Jacko is not a 7 but will fill in there as well as TOD. Also can see Tadgh Beirne playing often at 6 too...
