Sam Cane announced as All Blacks Captain

Ian Foster has had a close relationship with Sam Cane since Cane was in highschool, foster spotted his potential and groomed him for the chiefs. IMO This doesn't stick of favoritism though. Cane and Sam Whitelock are the clear top contenders, whitelock has a Japan contract and hes also 31 (32 in...

    [2020 Super Rugby] Round 6 (06-07 March)

Great to see the chiefs back on form, its s o frustrating that they seem to have a habit of dropping a game early in the season they should win. IMO Brad Weber has to be fast tracking his way to becoming the #1 halfback in NZ, Smith is great and I'm a huge Perenara fan but Webers form lasy year...

    [2020 Super Rugby] Round 6 (06-07 March)

How the heck did that 2nd tahs try get awarded? The TMO actually looked at it right? He clearly lost it as he was trying to ground.

    [2020 Super Rugby] Round 3 (14-16 February)

maybe the term "B Team" is not fair but the chiefs are resting a number of big names this weekend for a game which they should be aiming to get max points from. no banana's please! Cane, Cruden and ALB rested! Damian McKenzie, Shaun Stevenson, Quinn Tupaea, Alex Nankivell, Solomon Alaimalo...

    [2020 Super Rugby] Round 3 (14-16 February)

Sunwolves have been a banana skin for the chiefs. Really need to put them away

    2020 predictions, sort off

I think you are pretty much spot on. Tho I know much more about the NZ teams than the others. I see the blues having the potential to go on a run when barrett takes the field but they lack a world class 9 to work with him. The highlanders have a lot of unproven potential, easily the lowest NZ...

[RWC2019][The Final] England vs. South Africa (02/11/2019)

So happy the boks won. Best wishes to the English supporters but I'm happy the Cup is staying in Sanzar hands :) Awesome boks, truly deserved they have been really good the last couple of years. I've not watched the game yet, I will watch it this week. But I think this result backs up what I...

[RWC2019][3rd & 4th Place Playoff] New Zealand vs. Wales (01/11/2019)

The AB's are by far the most attacking and running/ball movement orientated of the top tier teams, the job of cleaning rucks can't fall on just a select few forwards. All players have to do some work leaning out rucks if this style is to work. You see wingers and halfbacks cleaning when they...

    Question for the Kiwi posters

I know my response may be kind of unique but I couldn't help but have a giggle. firstly I never liked the arrowhead formation the AB's adopted this year, and I hope it gets shelved. I'm no kapa haka expert but to me the arrowhead doesn't fit with how the Maori Generally do haka. but the V...

    [RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

Marginal? I'd love to hear your argument that they were Marginal, go ahead. I hope your argument is better than your maths. 50% you say? my post had an opening statement, a closing statement and 9 paragraphs plus a few stray sentences. Just ONE paragraph was purely about the refereeing plus...

    [RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

Firstly awesome tense game, well done England and good luck in the final. I have mixed feelings about the overall performance and state of the AB team. Months ago I thought our chances of winning the WC were pretty slim but the team changed tack and added some fresh blood and overall...

    [RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

I had a fiery hot south american girlfriend who's two best friends were a guy and another hot south American girl who's names were almost identical, literally one vowel separated them. I was driving with her once talking about something and in conversation said the girlfriends name instead of...

    [RWC2019][Quarter-Final 2] New Zealand vs. Ireland (19/10/2019)

yeah the thing is they wont want to coach super rugby forever. I bet Robinson will already be getting itchy feet with his current position there isn't much more he can do and international sides and money'd up overseas clubs will be on his case. it does seem like the pathway to being an All...

    [RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

it's an interesting call to put scott at 6 and Cane on the bench. I can see some reasoning for it. 1, importantly and maybe the main reason Cane was subbed for barrett early against ireland is that with Savea at 6 we lose strength at the lineout. IMO Savea just shouldn't be jumping that should...

    [RWC2019][Quarter-Final 2] New Zealand vs. Ireland (19/10/2019)

ALB has something in the region of ~45 test caps now? He's quite simply a complete player, and hardly set a foot wrong in test rugby. What you say is true for goodhue though. At only ~10 caps he looks the part. I do feel for Crotty though. for such a loyal servant to the AB's and you cant...

    [RWC2019][Quarter-Final 3] Wales vs. France (20/10/2019)

what an awful game France seemed to be dominating an insane red card brain explosion turns the game on its head and Wales should canter home. The Red card freaks the french out and they just totally go into their shell and decide to just stop playing and kick everything away... insane pointless...

    [RWC2019][Quarter-Final 2] New Zealand vs. Ireland (19/10/2019)

yeah the problem is that in 2007 we kept our coach and captian which was the critical aspect in the fallout of that game which allowed us to grow. plus I believe Ireland have a whole different set of lessons to learn than we had to learn from that result.

    [RWC2019][Quarter-Final 1] England vs. Australia (19/10/2019)

I can't help but wonder where Australia's Perth Performance has gone. Maybe they put too much into trying to win the Bledisloe? They could have beaten anyone that day but they haven't been able to replicate it despite having that blueprint to work from. They let England dictate the pace of the...
