    Who will win the RWC

From a South African point of view, it's going to be a cracker of a Final for the neutrals to enjoy. Just one question, if the Wallabies do win, will it stop all this nonsense we get fed for 4 years by coaches that they're building for the World Cup? Because in theory Michael Cheika would've...

    Argentina 2019

This morning I woke up realizing that SANZAR could've created a bit of a new monster, and thought to myself this is now a real possibility.... Firstly congratulations to Argentina for following up on your fantastic win against us in our own backyard earlier this year, to making the semi-finals...

Georgia pushing for 6 Nations spot

As a short term solution, I can't see expansion of the six bastions being possible at the moment. What I would like to see though, is a test match between Italy and Georgia, I think that would give us an idea of their current strength. What I would suggest, and I think it has been mentioned...

    The Perfect World Cup Scenario.

Ok, perfect World Cup Scenario, which would make for some interesting times in the 6 weeks ahead..... Pool A: England top the Pool and beat the Aussies by 20 points at Twickenham; Wales and Australia play out to a 30 all draw, with Israel Folau scoring the equalizer in the corner after the...

    SA to host 2019 RWC?

I am not sure where you got that list, but firstly Phakisa Freeway is a racing track in the Free State, Mmabatho Stadium and Rand Stadium due to their layout aren't suited for rugby, plus they are in some very dodgy areas, same goes for Giyani Stadium. Odi Stadium is also a...

    SA rugby in trouble

The whole process of enforcing quotas is getting ridiculous, I feel sorry for someone like Rudy Paige, whom would've probably made the Bok side on pure merit in the not too distant future, but has been branded as a quota quite heavily on different forums here in South Africa, a stigma he will...

    Romain Poite's credibility

South Africa's scrum coach, Pieter de Villiers (the French prop not the guy with the mustache), has released a statement to say he's meeting with World Rugby High Performance Referees Manager, Joel Jutge this week to discuss the interpretation of the scrums this past Saturday and obtain clarity...

    Romain Poite's credibility

That is because Romain Poite is a **** and should not be allowed on a rugby field in South Africa again. This guy has no idea what he is doing, thus questioning his credibility. South Africa vs Scotland 2013, South Africa vs New Zealbd 2013, South Africa vs Argentina 2015; not saying we...

    Romain Poite's credibility

With the regards to you saying the first try being forward and nobody calling it? That's no problem we wouldn't have picked it up in real time as well probably. What I can call him out (with regards to his credibility as an international referee) is the channel in which the original line break...

    Romain Poite's credibility

I agree with what you're saying, why allow them on there in the first place if it was just a penalty? And if in his mind he had decided to allow stoppage for an injury, why allow play to continue with interruptions still on the field?

    Romain Poite's credibility

Firstly the topic of this thread wad not to point out any mistakes that might have affected the score negatively, as this Bok side would've never been able to claw their way back from any deficit today; but on the point of Imhoff's third try, did nobody notice the amount of support/medical staff...

    Romain Poite's credibility

Firstly congratulations to Argentina on an historic win for them, we were outplayed and even with the refereeing mistakes, we wouldn't have pulled this one through. My actual point of making this thread is regarding Romain Poite's performance once again at international level, the amount of...

[2015 TRC] South Africa v Argentina in Durban (08/08/2015)

Congratulations to Argentina, you really outplayed us today. One question mark is on the level of refereeing from Romain Poite today, why do we always get the rough side of his calls? Thought we had moved on from his terrible decisions following Eden Park in 2014

    RWC Jerseys

Namibian Rugby World Cup Jersey If you look at the bottom right of the image with Jacques Burger it states that they'll wear this jersey against the All Blacks in their opening game, so I take it we'll see the All Blacks donning a White kit against them for that fixture

Who could claim an upset win?

With the minnow nations having really improved their standard of play the last two world cups, some of them giving the big boys a huge fright along the way; which matchup in this year's Rugby World Cup group stages do you think has the best chance of producing an upset result this time around?

Would a move north be better for South African domestic rugby?

After a (second) disappointing Super Rugby campaign for South African rugby, I wonder if Jurie Roux and SARU didn't make a mistake by not pursuing an opportunity to align our domestic rugby with the best the north had to offer, instead of agreeing to a ridiculous and watered down Super Rugby in...

    Fantasy Rugby Kit Design

So the whole RFU/Victoria cross debacle got me thinking, can we as fans possibly design better kits than those working in the design departments for the likes of Adidas, Canterbury or BLK? I purchased some Kit Creation software online today, and seeing as the World Cup is now just less than a...

A global competition for a global season? Any feedback?

The major problem with Superrugby now compared to the Super 12 days, is that the increasing number of teams has spread the talent pool too thin, in the Southern Hemisphere, the cream of the crop are mostly playing for the top sides anyway, so your top players would mostly feature in the 12...

A global competition for a global season? Any feedback?

The season length would stay the same, as you would in effect be replacing the Heineken Cup and Superrugby with one competition. The calendar could be broken down into blocks, a domestic season block, Internationals block, and a third block for this tournament.
