RWC 2011: THE FINAL!!! France vs. New Zealand

Poor New Zealand. They finally win the cup, yet other events (Simoncelli death, 6-1 Manchester Derby, Libya) mean they barely get a mention on the BBC website!

RWC Quarter Final: England - France (08-10-2011, 20:30)

Personally I'm happy with the Wilko/Flood combo. Flood has done well this tournament, and Wilko brings the experience that is so valuable in these tournaments.

RWC Quarter Final: All Blacks - Argentina (09-10-2011, 20:30)

Agreed. I can see a much higher chance for Argentina than the stats would suggest. Still, the All Blacks are heavy favourites.

RWC Quarter Final: England - France (08-10-2011, 20:30)

England to win. They weren't great against Scotland, but scarce are the words that adequately elucidate just how gut-wrenchingly awful France were against both NZ and Tonga.

RWC Quarter Final: All Blacks - Argentina (09-10-2011, 20:30)

I would have said All Blacks all the way but with Carter out it's pretty obvious that the Pumas are going to win by 20 or so.

RWC Quarter Final: Ireland - Wales (08-10-2011, 18:00)

I've tossed my coin and luck favoured the Irish on this occasion. Will be a very interesting match, that's for sure.

RWC Quarter Final: Springboks - Wallabies (09-10-2011, 18:00)

Wallabies to take this for me. I know South Africa are a good cup team and all that. But their performance in the Tri-Nations was so astonishingly mediocre, so vacant of any semblance of quality, that I can't see them winning. I mean, at times over the last 4 years they've been so bad they may...

RWC Quarter Final: England - France (08-10-2011, 20:30)

RWC Quarter Final: England - France (08-10-2011, 20:30)

I await Saturday with expectations that this will be little more than a mash up of mediocrity. France are in awful form and England are hardly great either. England by less than 7.

    Euan Murray questions Sunday matches

I won't pollute this thread with my (negative) views on religion. But the question is largely irrelevant since Sunday games attract big audiences, especially this year since people can stay up and watch the games without having to worry (for most people) about school/work etc.

    Sidhe's Rugby Challenge

Happy I got the Oz edition early now. A total of a month and two days early, if the EU release date holds. Plus, I'll be playing Forza 4 on that day!

What are the Squad Names for each country?

Emerging Springboks...that one always makes me laugh. It sounds as though somebody's giving birth!

    RWC: Tonga - Canada (14-09-2011, 17:00)

Fantastic result from Canada, especially considering how well Tonga had played in the second half against NZ.

    Sidhe's Rugby Challenge

Some guy on the Facebook page posted an e-mail apparently from the UK distributor, saying they were aiming for the 7th. Played through the Quad Nations. Lost as South Africa on bonus points after conceding a late Israel Dagg try and failing to put 4 past Argentina. A whole ton of fun.

    Sidhe's Rugby Challenge

Played a good bit today. I'm really enjoying the game, there are flaws no doubt but it's a big step up from Rugby 08. Highlight was a narrow two-point win over the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup series thanks to a completely accidental drop goal from Quade Cooper, from near touch on the 22!

    Sidhe's Rugby Challenge

I'll be playing this when I wake up tomorrow! I'm pretty excited after seeing the new tips video, the depth of the controls looks great.

    The Question Thread

No idea. I know RC has outsold it by a large margin in the markets they've released that in, but I reckon RWC has done well in Europe.

    Sidhe's Rugby Challenge

Gamelane source all of their products abroad, so they'll have to wait for the official release in the UK or Asia. Australian and South African games aren't cheap enough for them to make the business work.
