    England World Cup Squad

You can be class without pace BUT you have to be amazing at everything else and be elusive or powerful. Hence lowe and hansen working. We have been llaying no pace with holes in their game. How someone like radwan hasnt and wont be used is a travesty.

Personally I think curry and earl make the most sense. The pair of them dominated the breakdown, lawes contributed massively but a true 8 in the mould of mercer who is pretty well rounded could be a special combination.

Maybe that is the plan, no attack, just all defence coaches. Would explain the plan on Saturday.

    England World Cup Squad

Oh for sure, I am with you I want him as a lock, if he can consistently hit Saturday levels he is what we have been crying out for, for years. But Borths likes a jumping 6 and has seemed to like him there in the past.

    England World Cup Squad

I am really interested to see how the third place game goes tbh. He is right, World Cup was about par and a very good final performance has somewhat eased the fear about the future, and distracted my mind from the turds of the past year and mediocre at best early stages. Is this the new England...

    England World Cup Squad

With lawes going and the amount of talent we have in non jumping back rows I would have isiekwe as the fourth lock. Young enough to improve on the carry, and has the build. Not wholly convinced Steve doesnt see George martin as the heir apparent to lawes and we will need 2 locks.

    England World Cup Squad

See, I am seeing earl as an 8, but personally dont want to see that long term. I think lakes is probably done now and 6/7 should probably be curry and earl for the foreseeable. I would have Mercer at 8 in a heartbeat with Willis backing him up.

Aled walters is very good at his job and is a very good get for what should be a younger side next year.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

I think borthwick proved he is good at setting an initial game plan for games all tournament. Which offers hope. Aled walters is actually a magician as well thought the peaking was bullshit but really did play out looking forward to him working with the team for a full cycle. Borth made massive...

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

Last few decisions stick in the mind but england got a but of rub from him as well. Playing this game by kicking everything is always playing with fire even if it was probably right considering conditions.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

Think we see a close final next week tbh. SA likely go to pollard and play the plan england went with here and make it miserable for nz. Coin flip for who wins.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

That is my worry. This is how borthwick wants to play I am not convinced this form of attack wins consistently anymore.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

Hard agree. Still lots to work on but the breakdown has been class. Showed fight. Defense looked good for most of the game. If we can get a functional attack outside the kicking game I feel more optimistic than I have in a while.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

Well that is heartbreaking. Dire game of rugby and always playing with fire if you are going to play the kicking game. Some positives from the wc though breakdown work has been stellar. Will be interesting to see who moves out of the squad now.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

God, happy about as an england fan but ref has been very much on englands side tonight. Racking up scrum penalties would of expected a warning at least by now.

Will that be ledesma stepping up then? done a fantastic job with the jaguares could do wonders with argentina.

[2017 RBS Six Nations] Round 1: Scotland vs. Ireland (04/02/2017)

Couple of years if glasgow keep on churning the talent out we could actually start properly competing. Some really encouraging stuff there, Watson and maitland especially impressive.

AS good as finn is for us hes spilled the ball a fair few times. Taking watson of early really cost us.
