Which of the top 5 IRB ranked teams do you think will be found wanting?

Wobs need the Italy win, and it's a good thing for them they're prob. gonna get it, but it's still 2nd. place in the group for them! :) (behind us btw)

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

Nah we're gonna thump the Wobs. :)

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

I hope you don't choke btw. Ireland have this world cup in the bag ^_^

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

Not hating on SH teams but I'm predicting some might choke - NZ in particular hehe! :)

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

Yeah, that's one benefit of being Irish. There's only 4.3 million of us and 6.1 or so including the north I think. If we do well it's great. If we don't, it's not the end of the world, or much of a surprise considering our recent form. But then there's team pressure and individual pressure. Some...

Rugby Players Status Updates - RWC 2011 Edition

Good idea. Should be a sticky AUCKLAND, 3 Sept. - Japan centre Yuta Imamura is likely to miss his side's opening Rugby World Cup 2011 match against France with a sprained right ankle. That's all I found

What if America started caring about Rugby?

Well said, but NZ has 6 million + Ireland have 6 million + (including NI) and it's rugby playing population, centers of excellence, professional leagues etc. that count not population. There's only 3 million in Wales but they have pro teams and good standards. America will always be dominated by...

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

I disagree. I think if O'Driscoll was plying for England in that era, he would have completely owned. He was the best in the Lions team of that era IMO. It's a pity that he has a better team around him now, that he's a bit older. @TRF_Ezequiel Ireland should have more senior players than ever...

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

You can't say anything without being team-raped by trolls. I started what - the thread - I didn't. The question was, what advantage do NH teams have if any? We never outscore them with tries in any WC. I was pointing out that the only advantagge, if any, we have is being better at discipline...

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

well said. @ TRF_Olly - ooh, that's creepy! :) I've already made my feelings about you clear: Can we drop it? Damn

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

Yes, you're trolling. I'd give you Greenwood as he's the only one that could touch Lewsey. But he was a centre so that really just backs up my point about attrition.

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

I'm taking a risk replying to this. It's probably flame-bait. Nobody outscores the kiwis for tries. Both NZ and Aus outscore any other teams in world cups. Sometimes France are up close. NZ are way ahead of everyone else. Lewsey was the only truly world class back England produced in that era...

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

Every team could say that. ifs buts and maybes. France have a good record against the Boks though, especially at home..but you were beaten badly by them in your last test game in SA. The world cup is different I know. I'd back France for it IF you brought your A game.

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

The French backs would have to be at their very best to beat them. It's the intensity of SH teams that's the problem. Beale and co. would be picking away at you for 80 mins and giving you hell - in a way only SH teams seem to do well - u know what I mean. But, France are very dangerous, no...

Do the northern hemisphere teams have any advantages?

They'd rape you with their backs. C'mon. Aussie forwards are not weak by any means - at all.. France could win of course but you'd be underdogs and rightfully
