    The Leinster thread

Losses as in injuries or as in financial losses? I'm surprised that there is a move towards less game time, given the URC is already much less games.

Investec Champions Cup 23/24 - Round of 16

Niall Scannell is having a mare here. Great game though! Beirne, O'Mahoney, Aherne, Casey all looking good IMO

Investec Champions Cup 23/24 - Round of 16

Yeah we looked sloppy and it definitely could have been tighter. Our lineout was shocking, and our fielding of high balls equally as bad. Whenever we actually ran through some phases we seemed to cut them open, one of the rare games where kicking it usually seemed the wrong option for us.

[2024 Six Nations] Ireland vs Italy - 11/02/24

    Add O’Mahoney to that list!

    [RWC2023] Scotland vs Tonga (24/09/2023)

I think it’s decided by head to head in case of a draw

    [RWC2023] Ireland vs Tonga (16/09/2023)

Big question mark for me is that the lineout still looks shaky. O'Connell obviously has a lot of trust built up but he needs to sort it ASAP

    [2023 Six Nations] Ireland v England - 18 March 2023

Seatbelt tackles are legal now, on the Hansen point.

    [2023 Six Nations] France v Wales - 18 March 2023

I would drop zammit for that non tackle on Danty. He’s a big man but you have to at least try

    [2023 Six Nations] Scotland v Ireland - 12 March 2023

There's a reason that forward passes are done on the way the hands face though. That pass to me doesn't look forward, momentum brings it forward.

    URC 2022 /2023 Round 12

Big weekend for Leinster. With a tough away win to Ospreys, and Stormers losing to Glasgow, it looks like we'll be able to send the kids down to SA again at the end of the season.

    Ireland v South Africa - 05.11.22

Terrible angles shown in those highlights in fairness to you. It was clear in the ones they showed live

    URC: the SF's!

    You think Ulster will win?

    The 'problem' of Leinster 'dominance'

This seems silly, why shouldn't more guys get a chance? Especially with the amount of injuries and head collisions in modern rugby. Rotation seems like the best way to ensure player welfare

    Heineken Champions Cup - Semi-Finals

Can’t think of a better performance from Leinster ever (Saracens 2018?)

    Heineken Champions Cup - Semi-Finals

    That game cured my hangover

    Heineken Champions Cup - Quarter-Finals

If you look at the teams who have been penalised the most in the competition, there's three irish sides in the top 5. Also Leinster were penalised more than Leicester yesterday, so not sure it's fair to say the ref was one-sided.

    Heineken Champions Cup - Quarter-Finals

I will be in attendance and can confirm that I’m very boring

    URC Div 2

I think from an Irish perspective the hope would be that the second tier would have Irish “A” teams. Compared to the old pro14 the URC has a few less matches. Irish teams have had to trim their squads in response which will probably be bad for future development of players. Could have a knock on...

Where the SA teams stand heading back to cross-nation matches

Agreed here. Also frustrating looking at watching games as a neutral and thinking that most of them are going to be a hammering.
