Ah fair. Every time I've watched Ewers he's been all over the park. However not sure every player who plays like that can equate it to international.

Are you basing this on watching England or Saracens? For England he was that one hit single dimension player I think you're referring to. Saracens, however, he does a lot more. That MAY be the step up from club to international or it might be how he has been asked to play.

    2016 RBS Six Nations Predictions

Eeesht. Always tricky after a world cup as a lot tends to change. 1. Ireland. They'll play consistently on from the world cup with a similar group of players. 2. Wales. Played well in the world cup, have a lot of exciting players they are finally using. They'll only place well if they match...

Itoje on the bench also gives blindside cover. Means you can drop Haskell/Lawes/Easter I guess. However on the Itoje debate: I side with those going for caution. We have 4 years for the next rugby world cup, and just because we're in a terrible state now we don't actually have to panic. Nothing...

Was kind of hoping Roko came in on his wing anyway. It's time for something a little different out wide.

See if Wales have any decent youngsters?

I wouldn't pick Ford or Hill. Ford's form has been awful and I think we have better centre options. Good call up front and it would be good to see Robshaw work blindside.

Why do teams pick and drive near the line?

I was wondering this the other day. How on earth can you stop a grounding against the post from the position where the ball is at the base of a ruck, on the line, next to the post? Could you legally plant your legs either side of the post behind the line but your body in front and lean on the ruck?

Why do teams pick and drive near the line?

He wasn't talking about the maul though. It's the static pick and drive which fails to be effective so often.

    Transfers 2015/16

A certain willingness to take the salary cap as more of a guideline than a rule?

Mike Catt was never seen as the most creative of players. I feel Farrell could be moulded into a similar player. He has a decent chip, takes the kicking pressure off others, brings the wingers and 13 into the game a lot more with the long pass. He's done it for England tries a number of times...

Tighthead, loosehead, tomato, tomato. It's all a mystery what happens up there to us backs. I just know one gets paid more than the other because they have to cuddle with more of the opposition in scrums. My vision for that backline was Cips/Care/Farrell all running lines to let either huge...

Honestly would have no problem with a front row of Cole-George/Hartley-M. Vunipola. 1. Dan Cole 2. Jamie George 3. Mako Vunipola 4. Maro Itoje 5. Joe Launchbury 6. Dave Ewers 7. Matt Kvesic 8. Billy Vunipola 9. Danny Care 10. Danny Cipriani 11. Jonny May 12. Owen Farrell 13. Manu Tuilagi 14...

Du Plessis is a nice reliable TH at club level, I see none of the spark needed for international. We've had a dominant pack this year from 1-8 but I tend to believe that it's more about a consistent level of quality throughout rather than any truly special players (Brits and Billy asides). Not...

For instance against Wasps when he picked up an entire ruck and moved it back a couple yards. 2 players, one on the ground. Not saying he's in for sure for me, but things like that happen regularly enough watching him play for Sarries that I'm confident he could replicate it on a bigger stage.

Yeah, one of the better club games at Twickenham. Well worth the ticket price I imagine.
