    [2023 Six Nations] Ireland v France - 11 February 2023

Yeah he was clearly very biased towards Ireland by giving that Atonio that red card You’re just looking to bait people anyway I reckon

[2018 November Tests] Ireland vs Argentina (10/11/18)

Is he rated highly by argentinean selectors do you think? When he first came onto the scene I thought he'd be a star - is it a case of him always being injured at the wrong time or is he just slightly unfavoured?

Is the winger Montero still involved with the Jaguares/Pumas set up?

As a matter of interest what was controversial about your loss to the Irish?

European Champions Cup 2017/18: Pool 3

This forum can be an absolute ghost town at times... Here are the Exeter and Leinster sides for their meeting at Sandy park on Sunday; looks like it could be the fixture of the weekend. 15 Phil Dollman 14 James Short 13 Henry Slade 12 Ian Whitten 11 Olly Woodburn 10 Gareth Steenson (capt) 9...

Leinster got Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe - Guinness Pro 14: R. 10

Your memory deceives you - although we didn't play particularly nice rugby under O'Connor and the reign represented more of a nadir in the Leinster history books, T'eo was actually a good player for us; certainly one of the better performers in our backline at the time.

[November Tests 2017 EOYT] Ireland vs. South Africa (11/11/2017)

Not particularly; his problems with injury are widely known and the backrow has been an area of relative strength for Ireland during this period.

[November Tests 2017 EOYT] Ireland vs. South Africa (11/11/2017)

"Poor" is a bit much, he's been off the heights that he's capable of but fully fit I'd still rather him over Kilcoyne, even at their current respective forms.

[November Tests 2017 EOYT] Ireland vs. South Africa (11/11/2017)

I feel the same way for some reason...an inquantifiable feeling deep in my gut foreshadowing disappointment...no idea why - almost like the sum of this team will be less its parts. The backrow looks much better on paper than I think it'll actually be (POM and Stander have been off pace IMO)...

European Champions Cup 2017/18: Pool 3

Hearing word that Sexton may be out this week. If the rumours are true I don't think we'll have enough for Montpellier - here's hoping it's ********.

    The Leinster thread

I'm inclined to agree with you here, he's been on a upward trend the last couple of seasons - I feel his profile is slightly overshadowed by VdF in the popular conscience though, despite consistently delivering performances on par with, and sometimes exceeding VdF last season. Don't get me...

    The Leinster thread

Lads what do we think our starting backrow is? It's mentioned often but we really do have some frightful depth there. Jack Conan is very much on the rise and I think it'd be very difficult to leave him out of the 15. But at the expense of Heaslip? I'm not sure about that...so the question...

(Very) early thoughts on the 2017 Lions

Good post Ruud, await your backs post with interest. I'd argue for O'Brien's inclusion over Haskell - he looked back to his best on Saturday, and completely eclipsed Haskell in performance. He can also play across the backrow and has previous Lions experience under Gatland which could stand in...

(Very) early thoughts on the 2017 Lions

Sexton has been in good form lately? They're just giving him some time off right now so that he'll be right for the 6N. I'd like to add that he'd be my 1st choice at fh for the Lions too, injury permitting.

Backline Dilemma for Gatland in the British Lions Team

I that's your backrow I'd have Stander at 8 and SOB at 6 - they're each more familiar with those positions.

    Ireland 2016/2017

Henderson out for a month. That's a blow - I'd expect Dillane and Dev to be the starters with Donnacha Ryan on the bench

June International Test: South Africa vs. Ireland [3rd Test] (25/06/2016)

Payne's a major loss as he does a lot defensively and has played a big role as a playmaker from fullback over this tour. There was a question as to what the centre partnership would be as Payne may have slotted into 13. If Payne is indeed out we'll likely see: Murray, PJ, Earls, Olding...
