    Tier 2 Youth Tournaments

Portugal had a harder game than expected against Netherlands, but the outcome is the one expected: they will fight with Spain for the golden ticket to U20 Trophy.

No full match there, there are 20 minutes missing. There's a cut as well in Rugby Europe's Dailymotion channel but it's shorter:

    2019 Rugby Europe Championship

No need to say apparently. 16 players from national league among 23. Only three guys from Agen can consider themselves fully professional players. If by miracle this works it will be down to the work of the staff with extended squads and monthly training camps, meaning most of players know the...

    9.1 Million people played rugby in 2017 - 48% in Tier 2 & 3

The proof figures aren't that reliable is Spain. Registered players aren't down by any means, but previous year stats released by World Rugby are often so inflated that it looks like there was a decrease. If you take stats from Spanish Rugby Union or Spanish government it's easily verifiable...

    9.1 Million people played rugby in 2017 - 48% in Tier 2 & 3

You really shouldn't trust total figures. They often inflate them by including any single kid that touched an egg-shaped ball at least once in a year. And even registered players figures aren't that trustworthy for some countries.

Full game coverage of Liga Heineken 2017-2018 final. Decent crowd but almost everybody was seated on the side of TV cameras, what a shame: https://twitter.com/MiDanes/status/1000409370130374656

    European Rugby Continental Shield 2017-18

It wasn't as close as the scoreboard suggests. Enisei was leading 24-6 with 15 or 20 minutes to go but Heidelberg scored two converted tries. Then they weren't even close to score a third.

Copa del Rey takes place this Sunday, 12:30 CEST kick-off. In spite of the lack of support from Valladolid, attendance should be pretty decent. Not a sellout like Zorrilla these past two years, but around 18,000. Great considering both teams are from a city 500 km away from Valencia and...

    Rugby Europe Championship 2018

Sure, I'm only saying it wasn't a well-planned test match given by World Rugby because they aimed at raising awareness and making business. Simply Tonga was going to be in Spain for one game bankrolled by a private investor and that paved the way for them arriving a week earlier and playing...

    Rugby Europe Championship 2018

Let me explain why Tonga played Spain in 2016: a private investor decided to promote an international test match in Anoeta, San Sebastián. World Rugby said they should host Tier 2 sides just to see how things went, then target Tier 1 sides in the future. And they were given Tonga and USA. Since...

    Rugby Europe Championship 2018

Let's wait until this weekend. Belgium has called up a very decent side, closer to what they fielded against Germany than what was sent to Romania. I expect a very close game and if Spain isn't clinical we could get into trouble.
