[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

I don't think it's Joe's style to select players who don't deserve it. People might bang on about Kearney but for the most part he has repaid Joe's faith in him. Regarding SOB though, some players are so good that you have to give them a chance to play their way back into form. He might have to...

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

Agree on all those points. Don't think VDF will be even near a starter but it's great to know he's there. Think Deegan will overtake Conan too. Exciting to see how Caelan Doris develops also. On SOB, while I agree with you that he might struggle to get his jersey back, if he gets back to playing...

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

Well anyone who thinks CJ or POM are not up to scratch would want their head examined or else clearly don't understand the game. CJ's carrying stays are insane in almost every game he plays and I'm not even going to waste time justifying POM's inclusion. I've never heard any fans in person...

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

I haven't heard any Leinster fans saying this. All clubs have fools. I remember Munster fans calling for Joe's head after 2 games! Just ignore that type of nonsense

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

Who cares what a fool like Kearns thinks or says? An extremely low form of wit. He's akin to Stephen Jones. Every country has morons and if we cry racist over some potato gag we've become a little thin skinned. Unless it was in some form of ill tasting famine slight.

Ju Just in case anyone was under the impression that this wasn't a wind up merchant.

I I think this is a problem in world rugby in general.

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

Not sure how we won that. But we'll take it. In spite of all the rotation and some key injuries we're over the line. A grade for Joe!

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

I suppose that just comes down to a difference of opinion, which is what this place is for. I think the ref has interpreted the current laws correctly. We could end up going down the rabbit hole if we start to discuss the fundamentally dangerous things that are allowed in the game!

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

Exactly my point. It's unfortunate but it's still illegal. Instinct does not excuse the illegality.

[June Tests 2018: 3rd Test] Australia vs. Ireland (23/06/2018)

It's a yellow card. Using your interpretation one could argue that Stockdale instinctively throws his forearm up in anticipation of the hit, which would also be incorrect.

[Champions Cup 2018] Semi Final - Leinster v Scarlets

This is the case because Irish teams have traditionally managed to keep their best players at home, while Scottish and Welsh teams have had their best talent cherry picked by English and French teams with far greater budgets. Leinster and Munster's performance in the CC this year has been a...

[2018 Champions Cup] Quarter Final : Leinster v Saracens (01/04/2018)

Every year fans from various clubs buy flights for the Champions Cup final months in advance. For example at the 2012 Heineken Cup final between Leinster and Northampton there were a group of Clermont fans sitting behind me. Also this is simple economics especially knowing Ryanair. If either...

    [2018 6 Nations] Round 5 : England v Ireland (17/03/2018)

This is a huge concern. We haven't done it at a World Cup yet by a long margin. On the other hand we have a great blend of youth and experience right now. The main concern remains that, if anything happens to Sexton or Murray, we look short. Carbery and Marmion are just not at the same level...

    [2018 6 Nations] Round 5 : England v Ireland (17/03/2018)

We'll said. Some of the penalties given away by England today were so careless.
