    England 2022/23

As I said I wouldn't mind either it was a split choice, if Lawes is fit and available though then surely he locks down 6 for 6ns and WC. Attwood I just can't see it happening, pity J. Hill just hasn't shown his promise at international level, silly mistakes and really hasn't shown the same...

Thought I read he was back for the six nations. As I said I just thought he brings a better lineout operator but if he's out then Hill is certainly in good form. Our flanker stock isn't exactly lacking quality or depth.

    England 2022/23

Didn't really think Blamires darts are as good as McGuigans imho. Although thinking Jack Walker could be a good set piece option. Didn't realise Stuart was still injured so yeah agree with Heyes instead. Hill and Martin was close with me tbf as I said I just thought Martin was the better...

    Would like this squad for the 6n Genge/ VRR/ Rodd George/ LCD/ McGuigan Cole/ Sinkler/ Stuart Itoje/ Ribbans/ Isiekwe/ Chessum Lawes/ Martin/ Earl/ Curry/ Pearson/ Dombrandt/ Simmonds JVP/ Mitchell/ Youngs Farrell/ Smith Kelly/ Lawrence/ Slade/ Daly Watson/ Freeman/ OHC/ Murley/ Steward/...

    England 2022/23

Front row surely LCD and George will be 1st and 2nd choice. McGuigan has to be in, maybe Walker who is very good at the set piece. Genge and Sinks will be there. Heyes and Rodd as 3rd choices? We need prominent scum, LH is easily Marler or give a chance to VRR. Bit harder at TH I would say...

    Life after Eddie …

Genge and Sinks should still be good for another cycle and Rodd, Stuart and Heyes will still be around. Probably bringing through another Loosehead is needed with no Mako or Marker. Maybe bring VRR short term to help with the scrum and develop young Whitcombe or maybe bring WGC in from Irish...

[2019 Six Nations] Ireland vs England (02/02/2019)

By half time I already thought the game was won tbh as you could see the Irish were flustered. I was already thinking about the France game and that we are going to have to rethink our gameplan against a massive French pack.

[2019 Six Nations] Ireland vs England (02/02/2019)

Surely makes up for the Irish try that shouldn't have stood? Plus the English try that should. Moaning about us talking about the ref and then doing it themselves. England have deserved this anyway

[2019 Six Nations] Ireland vs England (02/02/2019)

Tuilagi, Joseph and I would argue Marchant have to be ahead of him imo.

[2019 Six Nations] Ireland vs England (02/02/2019)

If Ireland can't stand the big hits they clearly aren't the side they're meant to be. You can clearly see the ref is having a mare. Even when questioning the Irish try he lets the conversion go, that's idiotic. You talk about England but fail to mention the things Ireland are doing wrong too ie...

Well done to the ref for getting Ireland that try

[2018 November Tests] England vs New Zealand 10/11/18

He has played 12 before though and I think it could be a good project to work on as we are short of test level 12s. In terms of the young 15s Ali Crossdale and Tom Parton were the two 15s for the u20 world cup and Malins is a 10 but has played 15 and has had a lot of praise at Sarries. Obviously...

[2018 November Tests] England vs New Zealand 10/11/18

I wouldn't mind seeing Slade at 12 tbh. Woodward would be an option at 15 we have some decent youngsters coming through though with Max Malins, Tom Parton and Ali Crossdale looking decent at their early age.

[2018 November Tests] England vs New Zealand 10/11/18

I never blamed Sinkler solely, Hepburn, Hartley and Sinkler isn't really as strong a front row as Moon, George and Williams in the scrum. However George as I said is an impact sub. I wouldn't mind trying Jack Singleton rather than Hartley I rate him highly. In terms of Daly I just don't see him...

[2018 November Tests] England vs New Zealand 10/11/18

For me Hepburn, George and Sinkler are all finishers. I don't think i've seen George or Sinkler have a good game for England when starting. So for me Moon, Hartley and Williams to start front row. Itoje and Kruis 2nd row with Lawes off the bench. Mercer simply won't start in a big match like the...

    England Rugby 2018/19 Thread

For me the pack is easy to pick Moon Hartley Williams Itoje Kruis Wilson Mercer Curry (if fit) The backs are a little harder but Care Farrell Te'o (we don't have a 12 like him) Daly May Ashton Nowell

[2018 November Tests] England v South Africa (3/10/18)

Really impressed with Moon, Williams, Ewels, Mercer, Wilson, May, Farrell and the work rate of Nowell. They all have to start against the All Blacks. However Daly, Slade, Youngs and Shields were very poor, although in fairness to Daly he isn't a 15. The rest were solid and did their job. South...

[2018 November Tests] England v South Africa (3/10/18)

I agree where you're coming from and we have relied heavily on the Vunipolas, Binny especially' for our style of play. That's why I don't mind that Eddie seems to be changing it for SA. However a squad needs balance and I just don't think taking Underhill, Rhodes and Morgan out and Lawes, albeit...

[2018 November Tests] England v South Africa (3/10/18)

For me it's not the line-up I don't like much it's the fact that once again we seem to be going for one tactic, the running game. If this doesn't work we have no other options to change it.

[2018 November Tests] England v South Africa (3/10/18)

In all fairness our backs are more than a match for SA if we have the right combination. To do that however we need to hold off that bruising pack as much as possible. I think Rhodes offers the better option of doing that.
