1/4-1/2 US TV coverage?

Ok I thought I had read before the world cup started that 3 of the 4 quarters, the 2 semis and the final would be free on NBC.
Now I see only England-Australia and France-Wales being shown on my dvr.
Can anyone in the states confirm there are only 2 1/4 finals shown for free on NBC? (That sucks!)
I know NBC gold shows it all but I don't want that.
Will both semis be even later shown on NBC?
I know for sure NBC will show the final.

Hey bud,
NBC is being cagey and frankly unreliable about their coverage. As far as I can tell, they only promised the final on free TV. And I don't think they're showing anything live unless you buy the expensive RWC package, but they may have discounted that at this stage. You can also buy individual matches piece-meal. The whole thing sucks, but dang, what a ******* tournament!
