15 Year ban for Heidelberg Rugby Club Following Post Match Attack

Well, watch the video and you'll see it's pretty damning, especially the large group chasing one player across the field and beating him.

15 year ban isn't enough for some of the players involved, but like mentioned in the article, you have to feel sorrty for some of the Heidelberg players who were quick out to defend the Mossel Bay team when they were being attacked. But the article suggests that there will eb an appeal for them.

Very happy to see SA trying to send a strong message. The Heidelberg club wouldn't even identify players and spectators involved other then one player, just disgraceful. Small said Heidelberg officials had refused to co-operate fully when confronted with video evidence at a disciplinary hearing last week.

“They did not want to identify the players and spectators involved, and eventually they reluctantly named only one player.

“They also failed to take any action or institute proceedings after the game to address the incidents of misconduct. They did nothing.â€

And did it not say that the Ref and assistant ref off duty police officers.

Very Very bad for Rugby, even tho it's very low league or non league it's still bad. I hope it doesn't spread into the higher league's here in the UK or anywhere else in fact in this world..
