Massive 102-6 win today for Uruguay vs Paraguay

Right now is Chile vs Brasil with Chile winning 8-0 at half time. Brazil hot on attack but losing control of the ball near the Chilean tryline. An interesting brand of rugby, difering tremendously from the trademark forward dominated version of South American teams.

Very big win for Uruguay, do you think that their place as the second best in South America is secure Melhor? Or are Chile and Brazil closing the gap on them?

Cheers Melhor.

Where do you get your info from? Is there a site?

Uruguay are secure for the next 5 years but Chile look in doubt as Brazil have really come a long way in no time. Brazil will be third before we know it. Brazil are certainly on the rise. So many more clubs and players. I started a club in 2010 and we play in the São Paulo State Championship. I´ve got two centres sho started this year who are really, really good. Just need to work on their passes.

Chile won 25-6 but Brazil played attacking rugby which is a real change. Brazil had better centres and, unlike Uruguay, used them. Brazil can´t find secondrowers so plays backrowers there. They are 1.94m at best which is too short. Chile blew the scoreline out witha try on fulltime.

Cheers Melhor.

In English there is nothing. - best on the web is my blog. :) A report is going up at midnight Brazilian time (14 hours ahead of Samoa and 15 behind New Zealand)

In Spanish you can access www.consur.org which is the official site for CONSUR, the governing body of South American Rugby. You can also access Argentine sources like www.scrum.com.ar and www.rugbytime.com as well as Brazilian sources such as www.rugbymania.com.br or www.blogdorugby.com.br

Would you know if they have pics of the matches or crowd attd figures for these matches Melhor?

Round 2 being played as I write. Big win for Chile finished 30 minutes back.

Chile 71-3 Paraguay

Brazil are beating Uruguay right now. Winning 8-6 in th 36th minute. Try by long serving Brazilian winger Daniel Gregg. Uruguay much betterb up front but Brazil´s backs are cleary superior.

Brazil is truely taking it to Uruguay with running rugby. Watch out for Brazil in the future.

I can´t help you sorry. There are photos on www.rugbymania.com.br Try to find Brasil or CONSUR there. There´ll be lots more soon though.

Uruguay in the lead now. Winning 14-8 at half time. Try from the last play of the first half.

Uruguay 20-18 Brazil with 15 minutes left.

Uruguay really stretched here. Could be the upset of the century.

superior forwards got Uruguay home as the score blew out.

Uruguay 39-18 Brazil Try to Pablo Bueno on full time

Unlucky for the Brazilianz.. They really pushed the Uruguayans.

Cheers Melhor for the update.

Not a bad try that, reminds me of Josh Lewsey's vs France in the '07 world cup - more the opposition messing up than the player doing anything brilliant, but entertaining all the same

Brazil vs Paraguay finshed about 1 hour ago. brazil won 51-14 to underline the teams significant growth.

Chile are playing Uruguay right now with Los Teros leading 9-0 after 20 minutes.

Great news about the Brazilians... And thanks for the Vid Melhor.

Chile beat Uruguay 21-18, the first time since 2002.
I'm happy for the chileans. I lived there many years and it's actually where I learnt to play the game. I was in the staduim for the last chilean victory over the Teros.

Vamos Cóndores!!

For a country with little history with rugby Brazil has some huge men playing on their team

Great news... Its about Time Chile Emerged as the 2nd Rugby Power after Argentina in the South Americas.

They have more then Double the amount of registered players then Uruguay.. perhaps this is the breakthrought victory for them..

A question for Melhor

disregarding South Africa and Argentina, which continent is better between Africa and South America at rugby?

and do you think it would be fairer to have a playoff for the spot which is now the African qualifying spot between the below teams?

20. Portugal
21. Uruguay
22. Namibia
23. Spain
24. Chile
25. Belgium
26. Morocco
