I understand the frustration that we weren't at our best against Fiji but why would you bring back Farrell? Ford controlled the game very well v Fiji. His kicking out of hand and restarts were excellent. His attacking threat is always going to trump Farrells. Farrell had one good offload for Browns try. He also nearly fluffed Billy's final try by panicking at the breakdown. It was only May's quick feet gather kept the momentum going. His appeal is his goal kicking percentage and defensive capabilities. But Ford percentage is still high on the place kicking front and was defensively good enough v Fiji. For me it would be a psychological big step back for the team if we started with Owen Farrell. Even if we had lost the Fiji game SL shouldn't make too many changes but we won! I agree Ben Youngs has a bad game but his brother had a pretty good one from where I was sitting. He hit all but one of his jumpers in the lineout and his carrying was arguably the best of the forwards. Yes his scrummaging isn't the best but he can't take the flack for the whole srummage. It was a lightweight pack that is the real issue. We Need a bit more bulk there which, I agree, Launchbury would add.
