Judging by how well i know the cheetahs and how well i know the sharks compared to the cheetahs i can make the following conclusions.
-The sharks wont be as forgiving in defense as the cheetahs.
- The sharks are a much better side than the cheetahs. Obviously the cheetahs have their own strengths but the jaguares wont take the win against the sharks from what ive seen in the previous match.

A full 80 minute performance will be needed and if the score starts to run away they just wont be able to make it up like they did against the cheetahs.
The Jaguares has a good squad but so do the sharks and i think the players in the sharks setup has the experience to seal this game.

Sharks should win by 5

First test for either side and expect each should take their home game.

I don't think what we saw from Jaguares last Friday can be used as an indicator of how the team will perform this season. Actually, I cannot imagine them playing worse than they did against Cheetahs and I only expect them to be better each game. Besides, I assume they are aware that Sharks is a stronger team and because of that they will be more cautious. Hope they can show their true potential and perform as what they basically are, Argentine national team.

Sharks will win this one with home advantage, Willie Le Roux will be one of the players of the year.

33 - 19 Sharks. Loving the Jags though, looking forward to their home games in Argentina.

Lavanini suspended for the game.
Think it was the right call. I thought it was easily a yellow card at the time. We got away with it and now it's come back to haunt us.
Our lack of discipline cost us two yellow cards (tbh i thought it should have been 3), a suspension and nearly cost us the game, too.

I agree with most of this. I think we were quite poor too. Zeilinga (sp?) had a bad day and that could have very well been the deciding factor, given the tight score.
I was watching the game with other people and we all got the feeling that it looked like an exhibition game: entertaining but appalling defenses. The number of missed tackles must have been astronomical, for both teams.

This is not test rugby, a completely different challenge, after this game at least they will have a decent idea of what to expect, until the play the Brumbies, Tahs, Landers and Chiefs, then they might just wonder what the hell is this.
Enjoy and learn in the first season, lovely to see them here

The question is, who will take the field, the Jaguares that lost 24-3 with several moments of severe lack of discipline, or the Jaguares that won 31-9 with several moments of offensive brilliance?

I agree that the Stormers are one or two steps above the cheetahs and that they wont forgive so many mistakes, but i also think that Los Jaguares are able to play much better if we dont get so much penalized for silly indiscipline. Thus, I believe Jaguares can win the match, but we need to stay focused and play to our full potential.

Lavanini out for one week is not that bad. Probably Alemano will replace him, a very good player, but still the team will miss his intensity and brute force.

If Jaguars think that cheetos are a measure of what will be the sharks are wrong, but if you think the sharks play 10 minutes against 13 also wrong. . . The game against the cheethas is unanalysable. But the sharks are banking, for they know the tournament, jaguars not, and this is not a test match. But I'm not sure what happened. . .
Those who put a marker in this game. . . They are willing to bet on it?

Lavanini was found of dangerous charge under Law 10.4(g) on Cheetahs center William Small-Smith, and ruled out for one week and including Saturday, March 5.
Matias Alemanno is now set to join Guido Petti in the run-on team.
There are no other specialist in Durban. Both Javier Ortega-Desio and Rodrigo Baez has provided cover in the past. Former Stade Francais second rower Juan Cruz Guillemain has been under injury.
Could Head-Coach Raul "Aspirina" Perez determine the replacement to be called up to join the Jaguares to Ignacio Larrague who played against Canada?.

Should be close but I think the Sharks will win, unfortunately.

Not me but still I am leaning towards a Sharks win at home. That said both these teams are a bit of an unknown factor to me. The Jaguares are new to the tournament and even though there are enough Argentine internationals in the team I think its not quite fair to call them the Pumas and expect them to perform in SR off the bat. The Sharks are a totally different team to 2015; no Du Plessis bro's, no Alberts, no PS du Toit, Lambie out injured, Reinach and Jordaan back in who were both out for most of 2015, Le Roux in, no Frans Steyn.. what I am getting at is its a totally different team player-wise bar ~4 players. So I guess what I am saying is I don't know what to expect or how much week 1 can count for any purpose of trying to make a prediction so I am leaning towards the home side when two quality teams come up against each other.

A minor upset, the Sharks look more organized this season than last and it's a home game, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise.
