2023-2024 transfers

Woodward to Gloucester confirmed
Sad!
Indeed.

Gave us that injection of star quality when we needed it and deserves not just his England call up but also to stay in the Permiership. We replace him with Luke Morahan which is a more than decent replacement

Flood released from Toulouse contract and Falcons have a "major" player announcement later this evening.

Joel Hodgson is a cracking wee player, but he does have the habit of dropping his head when things aren't quite going right. Some of the games when we've been under the cosh and looking for a bit of magic from him, he's been mentally weak and looked out of sorts. But that's something he is hopefully working on as when he's good he's VERY good.

Hopefully Flood will help him work on that aspect as well.

The one i'm really looking to see push on is Craig Willis. Hopefully we'll get shot of Delayney and Willis will get more gametime in the seniors next season.

Arno Botha to Ulster called off

Man too crocked with his latest injury to play apparently

Taute signs a three year deal, Keatley is retained and Saili will be hitting the road. Shame about Saili, he's really come into form and offers an x factor we just don't have normally.
Huge fan of Taute, but I wonder if him and Farrell will be fairly like for like next year.

Wonder if Daly will move to the back 3 more?

9) Simpson/Robson
10) Cips
11) Wade
12) Gopperth
13) JDJ
14) WLR
15) Daly

Would be great if Daly played 15 just becuase I want him there for England TBH.

Denton to Worester from Bath apparently, can't say I can remember him getting any game time there tbh
Yup, confirmed by Bath (and presumably by Wuss).
He has had game-time, but has also been injured a fair bit. His game time has looked... promising, but he's never really had the chance to settle into the team properly

Will be on a lot aswell, Should free up cap for Bath to invest elsewhere what with TF and Young Zach Mercer coming up and Grant being a handy depht option 8 really isn't an issue for Bath.

Maybe they will spend big on a prop.

Yup; we're offloading 2 #8s this summer; one of whom is overpaid for his role (Denton, bought in panic, and is now 2nd choice at best), and one of whom has been overtaken by a younger model (Sisi) - and neither of whom have really settled in at Bath for whatever reson. It still leaves us with 3 specialist #8s though, plus a number who can cover, it's really not a priority.

What we need is a monster THP to share starts with Henry Thomas; and I'd also like to see a better youngster at SH (or more faith given to Homer Jr) Townsend would be ideal if Exeter are going to concentrate on Maunder. The step down between Khan and the rest is just too great, with Allinson being barely Championship standard IMO.

Another centre (Jonny Williams / Ollie Devoto) would be nice, though not necessarily a necessity with Tapuai, Joseph and Clark making a nice, balanced triumvirate, and Banahan actually looking like he's finally taken to the centre berth earlier this season. I suspect that if we do look for a centre, it'll be a big beast to replace Freaun and leave Banas out on the wing though.

If Watson wants to specialise as a wing, then a 3rd option at FB would be useful too (Bendy come home?)
