Can't wait to go to this one, should be a cracker of a game! Milner-Skudder should be back starting which will be a huge boost. Coles was expected back for this one too, but that's looking increasingly unlikely. I doubt he'll end up playing.

Some key match ups too... Savea vs Cane, Savea vs Lowe and Jordie vs Dmac could help decide the final pecking order...

yeah that's a good point, Ngatai starting will allow the chiefs to use Donald from the bench which has been a very good option.

clearly a shadow All Black trial and should also decide who gets the #2 spot in the NZ conference.

It is at the caketin so advantage canes.

Quite a bit riding on this game. Winner either goes to play the Brumbies in Aussie and the loser goes to SA to play the Lions.

It's kind of worked out for the Landers to finish 7th as they get the Stormers instead of the Lions..

The competition is hilarious.

Hopefully a lot of it!
Not only is this bad for NZ rugby, but it's costing me fantasy points >_<

Canes team named! The Bus to start in his 100th, NMS on the right wing, Ardie back starting, Proctor returning from injury on the bench... probs the most lethal backline we've seen all season.

15 Jordie Barrett
14 Nehe Milner-Skudder
13 Vince Aso
12 Ngani Laumape
11 Julian Savea
10 Beauden Barrett
9 TJ Perenara (c)
8 Ardie Savea
7 Callum Gibbins
6 Brad Shields
5 Vaea Fifita
4 Sam Lousi
3 Jeff To'omaga-Allen
2 Leni Apisai
1 Chris Eves

Reserves:
16 Ricky Riccitelli /James O'Reilly
17 Loni Uhila
18 Mike Kainga
19 Mark Abbott
20 Reed Prinsep
21 Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi
22 Matt Proctor
23 Wes Goosen

Scary Canes backline, shesh. No wonder they have scored a record breaking number of tries this season..

The Chiefs D is really good, but they're going to have a very difficult time containing that backline away from home. I think the Canes are going to win this one. Another cracker of a game, I always get excited for the NZ derbies.

Fingers crossed there's no injuries.

Ngatai back for the Chiefs!

Chiefs: Damian McKenzie, Solomon Alaimalo, Anton Lienert-Brown, Charlie Ngatai, James Lowe, Aaron Cruden (co-c), Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Liam Messam, Sam Cane (co-c), Mitchell Brown, Michael Allardice, Dominic Bird, Nepo Laulala, Nathan Harris, Kane Hames. Reserves: Liam Polwart, Siegfried Fisi'ihoi, Atu Moli, Tom Sanders, Lachlan Boshier, Finlay Christie, Alex Nankivell, Shaun Stevenson.

Awesome to see Ngatai back!!!
Very interesting to see Alaimalo on the right wing... is Pulu injured? Even if he is, you'd expect Stevenson to be there... Making your super rugby debut starting against the Canes and marking the Bus in his 100th game isn't the most pleasant introduction lol. Hope he goes well though (not too well).
Can't wait for the game, hopefully a big crowd shows up, should be the best atmosphere of any of our home games so far...

Pulu and TNW are both injured.

Interesting Ngatai is back. If he stays fit and does well for the Chiefs in the play-offs it gives the AB selectors an even bigger 'headache'.
