And Saracens are a far better overall team than Bath or Leicester have been in the same period. It's hard to say how well Ford would play if he had players around him that Farrell does at a domestic level. When Bath were playing well he was exceptional though.

Tbh while there are issues in the backs, personally it's the fact that our forwards aren't good enough and Leicester are constantly on the back foot.
Same there you have a really good pack on paper (tight fives as good as anyones) they are not firing ???
You say that, but their performances don't reflect that. There's also massive defensive issues as well. Tigers have shipped the most points and tries out of any team. I think they don't actually know what type of rugby they want to play and are doing all of it averagely/badly or rely on a few players like tuilagi to make big breaks.

I'm not sure it is a really good pack on paper. The first choice pack is decent I suppose but you only need one or two injuries and it really starts to look average at best. Genge is obviously international quality and Cole is still a great Premiership prop, particularly during the winter where the scrum can win matches. But outside of the props none of the forwards would make an England squad. Denton, Spencer and Thompson have all been good but they wouldn't make the first choice 23 at teams like Leinster, Saracens or Racing. ****, they would be no more than injury cover in the next tier of teams like Munster, Glasgow, Chiefs, etc.
