Brad Thorn will get quite the welcome back in Dunners, anyone elaborate on how the Red's went in pre season?

Bulls have announced their team already.

Only 1 change to the team that smashed the Stormers. Cornal Hendricks starts in place of Johnny Kotze

Agreed on all counts, except I really hope the Bulls can pip the Jags away. History says it's a tall order but hopefully the Bulls are a different side this year.

I think the Blues have a chance and so do the Sunwolves, Reds to lose but keep the scoreline lower than expected.

this has to be close to our best XV, surprised we're choosing the Red's to go full strength but will be good to see how this goes

Really disappointed to see how the Stormers started their season. Was hoping that the off-field stuff would not have an impact on the field, but clearly it has. You simply should not have that amount of talent on the field and have 37 points put on you. I saw News 24 reported that they haven't even confirmed their coaching staff for the season, it's insane. Really believe it's a case of the politics and backroom staff/union letting the players down. If this continues, I expect a mass exodus of experienced players after the season. To those not in the loop, the clubs in the union want to push for Pieter De Villiers and Paul Treu to take the key coaching and management roles in the team. This is a purely political move and has nothing to do with skill and experience. Nothing that PDV has done since he left the Springboks warrants him taking up such a role.

Turning to this weekend, I cannot see them turning around the Bulls loss against the Lions. Yes the Lions are travelling back from Argentina, but none of the backroom Stormers issues have been resolved. Lions are also coming off a morale boosting win.

Seems like the Crusaders vs Hurricanes
and the bulls vs Jaguares games will be the closest. Opinions are very divided

...looking at everyone's predictions....i'll be putting money on the Reds

Either your team wins and you're happy to lose some cash or you make a consolation bundle, not the worst idea :D.

Highlanders look far to strong for me. I also think the Stormers can win their game, yes we were woeful last year but we are often a different team at home, and the Lions have done a lot of traveling.

Happy to see Kremer in the starting XV.
I expect our pack to make the difference.

Reds had one of the best scrums last season and reasonable forwards, our problem was we had no attacking flair, with the injection of Sefa Naivalu and Chris Sautia back from injury and sitting at around 110kgs, with Petaia at outside centre the Reds have a pretty dangerous backline, the biggest issue is going to be the 9 & 10 combo. With Sorovi not the best passer but an energetic 9 with good fringe attacking ability but his passing could be the issue with Stewart not being a great 10 under pressure.

What a try from the REds. I thought they had been screwed by the ref twice in the same play but they managed to turn it around. Implressive.
Game on.
