[2020 RC/Tri Nations] Round 2: Australia V New Zealand (Bledisloe 4) (7/11/2020)

yeah i'm surprised Akira got dropped but where would u put him? if it were i , i wouldve rested cane, who has played every minute of every test this season.
Akira, Savea and Frizell is a pretty impressive combo, with Sotutu (who imho should start before Ardie as a specialist 8) in the reserves.
Foster was so ballsy changing up his side for bled4 that he's gotten gun shy after one loss.
dude its the first year after a WC. results dont matter. as long as we're developing and moving forward.
i think i would have gone wit resting cane, start Savea at 7, Sotutu at 9 and Akria at 6 with Frizell covering lock/loosie from the bench

inexperienced but akira and sotutu made a good partnership during SRA and im a big fan of picking combos, they feed of each other

agree. despite sotutu displacing akira they worked awesome as a team for the blues. gotta say that akira's come a long way since a couple season ago.
actually i like your way better, frizell reserve and savea sotutu and akira as starting loosies

The majority of their team is settled. Sure they have a couple new players and sort of a new coach.

But for the most part they are a settled team with a bunch of experienced world cup winners. A Smith alone has about as many caps as the Wallabies whole backline.

They arent transitioning for ****. Hell the spine of Coles, Whitelock, Smith and Barrett have been around for the better part of a decade.
That post aged well....

Why jump in an pick a fight? At the time it was posted that wasn't an out of the blue comment ...weird newbie
Not really, people just don't like been proven wrong. AB are clearly a side in transition new coach, selection and players. That was my original point, which was bizzarly shot down. New to the forum but clearly played and watched the game more than others. Weird forum twitcher....

Ah...the classic "I've played and watched more than you guys" flex :D

If you don't want people to reply and or debate stuff maybe stick to your Twitter echo chamber

It clearly is the case... forum overlord. Unless you actually agree with the original point that this is a team in transition?
Which is it?

the starting team against Aussie...that's a hell of a lot of caps, most teams would kill to be able to field that much experience

yes, a new coach so things are changing but derpus' point that there is a lot of established players there is true...and to ignore that is kind of naive excuse making

and it's far from clear you're any kind of expert

And my point was just as much about jumping into a thread everyone else had moved on from for a cheap jab is just a bit...trying to show off

My original point ( for 10th time) is that the AB are going through a transition stage. Your bloke seemed to take the hump with that, originally in essence shouting me down.
A lot the guys who started for Abs, have been in/out of the team over a number of years. Examples are Reece, Tu'inukuafe, R Ioane and Laumape. They have played then been out of the squad
12 months ago it would of been blasphemy to suggest BB, but I see this is gathering traction in NZ. All backs up point that is a transitional period for ABs
